Stay secure with an Alexa-enabled smart lock

An Alexa enabled smart lock will allow you to lock or unlock your door by saying “Alexa, lock the door.” Alternatively you can manage your lock via the Alexa app, or setup a Routine to automatically unlock the door as you approach it.

To set up your smart lock:
  1. Open the Alexa app.
  2. Tap More and select Add a Device.
  3. Select Lock
  4. Select the brand and follow the on-screen instructions

Never miss a beat with Alexa-enabled sensors

Check whether a door or window is closed while you’re away from home, or trigger actions based off motion with Alexa Routines.

An Alexa enabled contact sensor will allow you to check the state of a door or window while you’re at, or away from home. You can do this by saying “Alexa, is the back door closed” or by checking the Alexa app. Motion sensors will allow you to trigger lights turning on or off or doors to unlock. To automate an action visit Alexa Routines.

To set up your sensor:
  1. Open the Alexa app.
  2. Tap More and select Add a Device.

Clean your floors without lifting a finger

Robot vacuum cleaners can dispose of dust, pet hair and other debris in your home with minimal effort.

An Alexa-enabled vacuum cleaner will autonomously clean your home when you say, “Alexa, ask the vacuum cleaner to start cleaning.” You can setup a cleaning schedule within the Alexa app, or tell Alexa to stop when the job is complete.

To set up your vacuum:

Q. How do I rename my device?
A: To rename devices that have already been set up:

Open the Alexa app.
Open Devices from the bottom menu.
Select the device you’d like to rename.
Select the cog in the right hand corner.
Select Edit Name.
