4. Check the charger port (on the phone) for damage, carefully insert the power plug and make sure it is on the right way

Junk - broken in less than a year with infrequent use. Avoid TTfone - mic dead on previous one.
Purchased for an elderly relative. Big buttons and fairly easy to use. Well looked after, always kept in a soft case in a handbag, yet it broke in less than a year. If you're trying to encourage an elderly relative to use a mobile phone and you buy them this and it breaks with infrequent usage - you will actively discourage them as they will feel it was somehow their fault and add to a possible fear of tech. Complete waste of time and money.
