The doorbell is easy to fit, works excellently, although there is some lag in the Ring app for the notifications. Here's the thing: it worked brilliantly throughout the house with Alexa for a few months, but as the app reviews will tell you, Alexa has changed to make it the worst app in the history of bad apps. It no longer even recognises the doorbell, hasn't rung in several weeks and the more you do to try to get it all to work, the worse things get. For the financial outlay to set up the combination system and the subscription, it's not worth it. None of this reflects on the doorbell (except the recent price rise for the subscription), it's all down to Alexa and Amazon, who seem determined to lose customers. Stick with the doorbell and the Ring app.
