Having decided I wanted to purchase an Android Auto adapter, I chose to purchase this one based on its look, and the braided cable rather than risking a flimsy one.
Initial setup was nice and easy. As this requires Bluetooth and WiFi during the setup process, remember to disconnect from your home WiFi and not be connected via Bluetooth to any other device, ie your car entertainment unit, before starting trying to set up.
So, everything was setup yesterday, and today I've done a 500 mile round trip. I must have stopped for at least 5 breaks, and every time my phone has reconnected within a few seconds, Android Maps had been consistently stable with no lag, made multiple calls on my travels without issue.
All in all an amazing piece of kit, a bargain for the price!
My car is a Ford Focus mk4, and I've put this in the USB port hidden underneath the arm rest, so it can just stay there and do it's thing!
