3.0 out of 5 starsIf your looking for light this is not the lamp you are looking for.

So 1000 lumens yeah I am not convinced. A 120 watt incandescent light bulb is 1000 lumens that's about the same as 2 average a19 led bulbs. Generously I would say real life 500 lumens. I have led flashlights that make more light with a single battery.
I am a little disappointed, 4 of them might make enough light to replace the single bulb lamp I was using and probably still need.
However it does some cool stuff. The blinky blinky and color options seem endless but perhaps a novelty and I fear that in time that novelty will wear off an I am left with simply a dim lamp.
The animations do seem a bit choppy but honestly I did not buy it for that. I just wanted a moder black lamp I could turn on and off with Google.
Google assistant can turn it off and on and run through some canned colors. However you cannot select a color temperature via Google. I do find all of the colors to be leaning towards the cool side however as that's not a problem as I target 3200-4000 k generally so the "warm" white is plain white enough to blend in. However some whites like "ivory" come in pretty blue.
Assembly was not difficult instructions where not great but it's not a difficult build. I did not feel the need to cut any of the silicone strip during install and don't really understand how anyone would have come to the conclusion that they might need to.
I am not a fan of the on off control box being in line with the power cord. If it didn't take order from Google it would be an absolute deal breaker.
Conclusion I would love to buy this product if it was 4 time brighter & had an on off dimmer built into the pole. Not sure if it's a keeper at this point yet. I could see my niece loving the colors and music effects .
I will say it did not freak out my dog so that's a good thing.
