I've used the D'Addario NS Micro Clip-On Tuner for years on my many guitars that I use for gigs and for teaching. This new version has a dramatically improved screen which is much easier to read in bright light situations, like onstage. Additionally, on previous models that I would leave clipped onto electric guitars or basses that I carry in gig bags, sometimes the switch would accidentally get turned on and it would quickly drain the battery. The new versions have an on/off switch that cannot be turned on easily by accident, as you have to hold the button down deliberately for a couple of seconds. I got two of them when they were on sale and as soon as they came I instantly wished I'd purchased 3 more. When I went to order more, the price had gone up. I will be buying those extra three tuners - but I might wait to see if they go back on sale. The "footprint" of this tuner is so small that it is easy to miss on guitars that have dark headstocks, which makes it an unobtrusive tuner to use onstage. I like these tuners a great deal. It's a great product that does exactly what it is supposed to, but does it so well that you take notice.
