Really does control the whole home. Alexa will pretend to turn off when too many questions from the grandkids. Has trouble with Bluetooth too close to the WiFi system. Looses communications to all Bluetooth devices when they are turned off and on manually too many times - need to train the wife. To correct this the Echo Show has to be unplugged temporarily. After power up the Bluetooth has to be picked to rescan all Bluetooth devices. Note - after installing 20 plus lights from dollarxxx - do not tell the grandkids that you can get Alexa to change them to any colour all at once. Sometimes takes awhile to set thermostat or air cleaner to correct mode. Still cannot get the vacuum to alert me when it gets moved off the charger. Camera doorbells and security cameras work great.
