Customer Review

This remote looks great and feels like the original when in hand, but has serious shortcomings. As many others have stated for starters, it's an IR remote not a wifi remote so if you've lost the habit of pointing the remote at the tv to use it that'll take a while to get back. That's more of an "eyes open" flaw though - you should know it going in.

A less visible flaw is that the OK button in the middle of the directional pad blends in too much with the arrows, unlike the original remotes which have the OK button distinctively raised for tactile purposes. It's less obvious when your thumb is on it vs the base of one of the arrows.

The biggest problem with the remote is the quality. I bought a replacement because the one that came with my tv hit the floor a few too many times. This one, with zero drops and after only a couple of weeks of use, saw the right arrow and the down arrow only function when pressed in very specific locations close to the OK button. This often led to the OK button being hit by accident or the arrow button press not registering at all. I threw in the towel and bought a replacement Roku remote made by Roku for just a few more dollars. My only regret is that I tried to save money on this knock off.

Edit a few weeks later: the second remote I bought is exhibiting the exact same issue. I've removed a star and suggest avoiding this brand. Get the official remote instead.
