TRBX174: This bass is an excellent value that will outlast your beginner phase. The P & J-style pickups bring an array of classic bass tones with the added versatility of a two octave neck. I bought the OVS and the bass is stunning.
I may have gotten lucky, but my bass was perfectly set up when it arrived. The neck relief was perfect, the pickups in the sweet spot and the intonation was spot on. As well there isn’t a single fret that buzzes. Plays very well!
The one downside to this bass would be the weight; it comes in at around 12 lbs. It is heavier than the Squire P-bass I have. I don’t mind, and a good strap will help, but it’s something to consider if you’re of slight build.
Overall I find this to be an excellent value that I would purchase over again without hesitation.
