So I love this product but it has its draw backs. Firstly you need to tone down the expectations. It is not going to be 100 perfect. I find depending on the media you are watching, the settings need to be set accordingly. Luckily there are a few save spots for your settings. Depending on the content your going to want to fine tune the lights for animations, cold spectrum, and warm spectrum. Also realize that for the color white, this will not glow white, it'll be an off red or off blue color, as well as when there is large amounts of black, it'll display blue.
You will need to spend considerable amount of time calibrating it. YouTube is going to be your friend here with multiple videos that will display colors and patterns to ensure you have properly calibrated the unit. Once this is done it'll be a fun way to consume your tv media. I highly recommend adding additional light strips for a whole room effect. Keep in mind different light strips will give off slightly different hues.
Also a limitation of the system is that if there are too many colors to choose from in the picture, it'll confuse it.
There are also different settings that will give you a pre programed light show or you can even make your own.
I love that it is also able to be controlled by Alexa. I can tell Alexa to turn on my tv and the lights .
