UPDATE AFTER 7 MONTHS:
I initially gave the TV 3 stars but now I downgrade it to 1 star. The smart function including apps like Prime Video, Tubi and Netflix severely lag when using and crash completely. It happens every single time I use the TV now. The TV received some major firmware updates lately and it is not stable at all. I discourage buying this TV despite a good picture quality and the low price. I regret buying it.

The Amazon product page is misleading. The A6G and A7G share the same description. That is wrong as the A7G is a ULED display. The A6G is not!
Why that matters? Well, ULED is Hisense's version of QLED or OLED named in Samsung models. They have a much better colour accuracy and colour palette. They also consume less energy.
This can be double checked in the Hisense Website which clearly states the A7 is a ULED. It also uses a VA panel.
Another difference that Amazon's product page shows is that the A7 has RCA connectors. That's also wrong. The A6 has RCA.

The A7 is around $40-70 more than the A6 but is well worth the money! The better colours will be noticeable and also the A7 is newer and will probably receive updates for a longer time.

The TV is big, very thin frame, rather lightweight.
The settings are pretty good. Plenty of options. The pre-set options are already good but if you want to get more out of it you can adjust anything you want.
The HDR settings were weirdly disabled when I used Firestick. So far I was unable to turn them on.

I have two complaints with this TV. First, the 3 HDMI ports are all right next to each other. So a thick HDMI device like the Firestick blocks two HDMI ports. That's so disappointing. Just half a centimetre and a second cable would fit. I hope Hisense improves this in the next version.

The base of the of the TV are high. That's good if you want to use a soundbar but elevates the TV way more than I personally want. This TV is sold in Europe with a completely different base and would have looked way nicer than the Canadian version.

The sound is above average for such a thin and mid-range TV. The voice enhancement option is recommended for movies as well as the theatre sound option. In my opinion it was the best for voices. For music you probably want a different setting. A soundbar easily fits under the TV.

This TV is okay for gaming. It supports 4k 60Hz or 1080P 120 Hz. The response time in gaming mode is 14-20ms. That's good for a TV but nothing compared to monitors who have 1-5ms. For serious and competitive online games a monitor is a must! For casual gaming or single player titles this TV does an excellent job on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.

Here is the big catch: This TV is not HDCP 2.2 compliant. What does that mean? Well, it means all copyright protected content via external devices connected with HDMI will NOT display 4k but only 1080p. My Firestick 4k can only display 1080p despite having the resolution of 4k. This is just useless. TVs that are HDCP 2.2 compliant are much more expensive and this TV doesn't support it at all. So, yeah it's essentially a 1080p TV if you use devices connected via HDMI and play 4k content such as Prime Video, Apple TV or Netflix in 4k. It will be downgraded by default.

The smart function of the TV is good. WiFi was connected immediately and apps like YouTube and Prime Video are snappy. The interface is also good albeit lacking behind Fire TV or Google TV in terms of performance and design.

For currently $378 this TV is a bargain. You get a ULED display, 3x HDMI, Dolby Atmos, 4k, a VA panel, 120 Hz in Full HD or 4k with 60Hz, a passable response time for gaming, HDR10 and HDR+. The ULED display alone is worth the price. Similar displays go for $500 so this is the cheapest ULED you can buy right now. It's worth the money over the A6 and other non ULEDs.
If you want to use this TV with BluRay players or a Firestick 4k don't buy it. 4k won't be displayed due to the lack of HDCP 2.2.
