I'll start the cons/why I couldn't give a five star review, which are largely the issues that others have noted (cleanliness/battery).

The item description says that the phones are cleaned by the seller as part of the renewal. However, as you can see from the photo it arrived with some crud on it the creases at the back of the phone/camera housing were dirty and required a somewhat careful cleaning. My wife who was sitting a few feet away also remarked that it looked covered in fingerprints, so it obviously hadn't been cleaned at all (contra the item description) and the dirt on it suggests it wasn't well cared for. It's disappointing to see that the store with Amazon's name on it does not deliver on their own descriptions.

Then, as many other buyers have noted, my battery isn't at full health and is only at 84%. While that is within the 80% as described, I think it's a bit dishonest to market the quality as "excellent" especially when "very good", "good", "fair" aren't even listed as options. Basically it seems like a roll of the dice and in the future I'll purchase from a seller that is more transparent about condition and sets prices accordingly.

Pros - Aside from the issues mentioned, the phone works perfectly, and so wouldn't be worth the time to return and set up again. I love the form factor both of the 12 and particularly the mini as sort of a return to the 5/SE era and so it is a big upgrade over the original SE I had been using. The lack of a home button/touch ID took a day or two to get used to but the face ID works perfectly. I was also slow to upgrade because I liked my headphone jack but I've found that bluetooth has gotten much better in recent years I had already made the switch before this upgrade.
