I really like this camera but, as noted in the headline (and other reviewers) this camera does not record continuously. I reached out to TP-Link support about this and was informed the logic for not providing the option for continuous recording is related to battery useage - they want to maximize the life of the battery versus functionality. The other function missing, that is related to recording, is the support for ONVIF - which is the ability to have the camera connect to an NVR so the video can be recorded on a separate hard drive - not the SD card you insert in the camera. Without this functionality, I can not consider this camera for use in my home security system.
If you don't use an NVR and/or are not worried about the lack of continuous recording, then this could be a nice addition to your home security system.
