I installed a 300 amp breaker between the battery bank and inverter in our RV, but the breaker kept tripping. I decided to try a fuse and found this one that attaches directly to the battery terminal. I like how the plastic battery case protects the fuse from getting wet. The other style fuses would have to be installed outside the battery housing in the weather. I've only tested the inverter half a dozen times so far, but this 300 amp fuse has operated fine while the inverter is pulling the 120 amps needed to run the microwave. OH, and that red cap, I cant get it over the terminal from where it is currently located. I took it off and put it over the battery cable. Then it pressed in place.
