Please note that the Dangbei DBX3 Pro does not stream the native apps such as Netflix, YouTube, etc. To access, it is recommended that you use a streaming device.

How do I set up 3D mode on the Dangbei DBX3 Pro?

1. While playing a 3D-compatible movie or video, press the side shortcut button on the remote control.

2. On the interface of Settings, select “3D mode”.

3. Choose the corresponding 3D mode.

Tip: It is recommended to use Dangbei 3D glasses.

Does the Dangbei DBX3 Pro support 3D Blu-ray?

Not at the moment. For a better 3D viewing experience, you can purchase Dangbei DLP 3D Glasses at the Dangbei store.

How do I cast YouTube content from my Android/iOS devices to DBX3 Pro?

1. Please download "CAST" on "Emotn Store".

Bought it on Black Friday sale and used for couple of weeks now, very happy with it- Projector looks amazingly well made, and easy to ceiling mount with my old universal mount by simply unscrew off the four feet- After a simple brightness/contrast adjustment, the colour of 4K HDR videos look stunning, the auto-focus system made the image on 100" screen so clear and amazingly beautiful- The smart system on board is not very good though but I'm using the project just a project for other streaming devices, so not a problem to me

This projector is very good. Laser lamp is brilliant and great colours. Auto focus is very good too. Watched a couple of LG hdr demos on yootoobe, simply stunning. SDR stuff looks great too. No regrets about buying this projector. As far as auto focus being an issue, I just use a portable 100" screen in my basement (bright enough for daytime basement viewing btw) and the autofocus and does a good job, if it is slightly off there is a very easy 1 button manual focus access and you just tweak it to your liking - not difficult at all.
Had it for two weeks and watched a ton of Netflix and the new Dune was spectacular to watch.

 I've been waiting days for my Elite Screens Designer Cut, 135-Inch 16-9, ALR DIY Ambient Light Rejecting Projector Screen Material to ship and show up and I couldn't wait any longer to try the projector out. I tried it just on my painted wall. The wall is the basic contractor crappy off white or a light, light beige color. It has nail holes and could use a cleaning. The picture quality from this projector on such a horrible surface is just incredible. I am incredibly excited to see just how much better the picture is going to be with a real high quality projector screen. If it's this good on a horrible painted surface it's going to be incredible with the screen. The smart aspect of the projector doesn't seem to be that good but I always planned on using my fire cube or nvidia shield tv so I have absolutely no need for any of the smart aspects on the projector. The built in speakers do not sound great in my opinion and do not have much volume but again, who would be using a 4K laser projector without some sort of external sound system? I hooked up my Bose Solo Five and it sounded wonderful.I haven't gone into any of the settings to play with the picture at all as I am completely new to the projector scene and will really have to go through the manual and watch some more videos to fine tune the picture quality when I have my screen framed up and on the wall. The picture in my little video here is 120 inch diagonal. It is about the maximum I think I can have in my little living room here but I think the picture can go quite a bit larger. I will update my review here after I have the screen set up and the projector set up properly. First impressions here, I think it's incredible. The coupon for $600 off seems to come and go so if you are going to purchase this just keep looking for the coupon.

This is the best one at this price range. Bright, sharp image. But don't bother to install google and Netflix. YouTube works well on it but if you set YouTube video at 4k it's becames very choppy. It has two HDMI slots, I use one for Roku steambar the other for Xbox x both run perfectly smooth. It is the first time I can enjoy xbox gaming on a projector feeling just like on my TV.

I bought this with a big discount.
I’ve been watching a lot of videos about 4K projectors and decided that this was the best one overall, plus the huge discount didn’t hurt either.
There isn’t much to the instructions which I find typical in the Asian market.
The picture and colour is a site to behold!
I’ve used the auto focus and auto keystone, but I find that it requires an auto focus and keystone. I have a 100” screen, which may account to the auto focus or auto keystone not to work for me. Definitely not a deal breaker.
There are a lot of settings. You’ll have the normal ones, vivid, standard, custom, etc…but you also have resolution choices as well.
The sound from the projector is so minimal.
My wife has a fan on her side of her living space and that’s all I can hear.
This is my first 4K projector and it’s amazing.
I can see so much detail.
This projector will outlast other, more expensive projectors with bulbs instead of a laser like this one. You’d have to change the bulbs 6 times to get the same life expectancy, but at $300.00 a pop.
I use it to watch movies, certain tv shows and video games.
It’s heavy and I had a hard time mounting it alone.
No regrets about this projector and 4K, hd, hdr, hdr+ Look absolutely fantastic.

 I have now owned 3 different 1080p projectors that I have used extensively over the last few months :

- The first was an under-$200 unit that had manual adjustments for focus and keystone, a very loud fan, and tinny built-in audio. It came with a 100" fabric screen that I have continued to use. It's still very watchable, but when I had to fall back to it recently, I realized I had forgotten all the limitations.

- The second was a Netflix licensed emotn N1 from the same manufacturer as this product that lists for around $400, currently selling here around $320. This unit added automatic focus and keystone correction, better sound, a brighter & clearer picture, and acceptable sound quality, similar to a TV without a soundbar.

- And finally, this unit, the Dangbei Mars. This is essentially the big brother of the emotn N1, with a brighter image, better optics, and MUCH better sound. I still switch over to my soundbar via Bluetooth when I want to watch a cinematic movie or listen to music, but the internal speakers are more than sufficient for the news and adult cartoons that I frequently watch. Having operated the N1, the family resemblance is unmistakable, with the same basic user interface and OS, identical remote controls, etc.

I have an improvised theater setup with the 100" screen hanging from the mantle over our fireplace, and the Dangbei projector sitting on the coffee table a few feet away. Because the screen is so low relative to the wall, I need to put a spacer under the back edge of the unit to angle the picture down to fit the screen. I should be able to replace that workaround with a couple of self-adhesive legs of the proper height.

UPDATE July 2023: I have since discovered that all 4 legs do in fact screw out, I just hadn't thought to try it! I now have a much more workable setup.

When I was using the smaller emotn N1 unit, I hit upon a combination where the built-in "leg" that is provided to prop the thing up at an angle to the screen and the geometry of the room let me leave that projector at the front edge of the coffee table and it all just worked.

With the new, bigger model, I need to pull it back towards the couch to get the proper size, and prop up the back as noted before. (The Dangbei has a threaded tripod connector on the bottom, but no additional legs or screw-feet to adjust the angle.)

Having said all of that, I am very happy to give this new projector a "forever home," and I would happily recommend it to anyone, especially if you need the extra brightness for watching in brighter conditions.

But if you are feeling budget constrained, I can also recommend the emotn N1 at the lower price as a good compromise.

What can i say!!!
I have owned a few Chinese projectors and i must say this is the best of all the ones I've owned from the Xgimi Z6 polar, Xgimi H1,jmgo N7 to the Jmgo X3. Even projectors that i tried and returned like the Xgimi H2 when it first came out also the AAXA 4k1, Optoma Uhl55, Lg cinebeam and the BenQ Tk 800m.
The Dangbei has knocked all of them out the box when it comes to picture Quality, i use a seperate smart device (Nvidia Shield tv pro) to get my video apps displayed so i can't speak on the smart features of this projector so my apology for that but as you can see from the pics that i provided that this projector is no slouch in the video department, the brightness is outstanding i keep in on standard but when you put it on highlight mode this bad boy shines very bright.
The details in the picture quality is top notch it has pin point sharpness on all details,its incredible what you get for the price this projector is going for. I use a sound bar but the sound you get from the projector is good and loud, black levels are good aswell as is colors.gaming is great also with latency better than the projectors ive used in the past.
If you can get this projector on sale do yourself a favor get it you will be happy you did. Also i forgot to mention the laser light source it is brighter and sharper than your traditional led light source and the start up time is fast, i also like that it has a Dust clean-up setting to help keep the projector clean big plus is you have a lot of dust in your home.
The Dangbei mars pro is a heavy 10 pounder, i thought that cieling mounting would be out the question but i was able to mount it with my old projector mount, i am going to reinforce the screws to make sure it does not fall. I recommend that you manually do you Keystone Correction the Auto Keystone was a miss for me. The projector fan is practically whisper quiet only time i heard the fan was when i did the dust clean-up setting it roars lol.
Now my only problem with not only this projector but all Chinese projectors would be warranty and parts incase in the future something happens to malfunction, i dont know how long Dangbei covers the warranty maybe a year or so, so i decided to put a 3yr insurance on it hopefully i wont have any problems in the future. Well folks i hope i helped some of you out.

I have tried other Projectors that are portable and easy to carry around from room to room, but due to the 2100 ISO Lumens (2625 ANSI Lumens-See picture) the picture quality is great even with ambient lighting. It literally feels like you are watching a 100" TV without the glare of back lighting that is emitted from a TV screen. With the #2 10W speakers the sound is great, do remember to turn on surround sound.
Picture is great even without a screen, in our loft we watch a 120" image on a light green wall, in the Bedroom we project it on our ankled ceiling which is white and in the Family room we have installed an Elite screen that drops in front of our TV. In all three situations I do not see a quality drop.
Also it has licensed Netflix, Prime and Youtube right on the remote and yes the startup is quick.
It is a table top Model but I do recommend getting a short tripod so it would be easy to angle the projector.

I am pretty new to the world of projectors. I bought a cheap one on a whim because we didn't want to put a TV on the wall in the living room. I was very impressed by the picture. We were using it every day. I thought to myself with as much as we are using this thing I need to get a better more permanent one. I started digging around and stumbled across the dangbei. I saw the reviews on YouTube and was sold. The brightness really is amazing. Even with sunlight and lights on in the living room. We were really loving it. Unfortunately the stuck pixel appeared just a few days after the 30 day return window. I contacted dangbei support and sent the required info they requested and the pictures of the issue. They advised me to update the firmware which of course isn't going to do anything. So now I'm waiting to see what comes next. Super bummed out because the picture and brightness really is outstanding.

Update: Dangbei has reached out and made things right with a refund. I understand things like this happen. Hats off to their customer service.
