About this item
- Advanced 2.1CH Bluetooth 5.0 Receiver Amplifier achieves HiFi music quality, the best choice for your home audio entertainment. You can connect passive speakers/passive subwoofer/powered speakers/powered subwoofer to DIY a stereo sound system.
- Fosi Audio BT30D Pro is the upgraded version for BT30D. All-NEW Black Aluminum Appearance. BT30D VS BT30D Pro: MAX Power Output: 50 Watt x2+100 Watt VS 165 Watt x2+350 Watt, Amplifier Chip: TPA3116D2 VS TPA3255. Output: RCA output for powered subwoofers VS 3.5MM full-range output for powered subwoofers and speakers. Just choose one model for your needs.
- BT30D Pro Adopts Texas Instruments TPA3255 high-performance Class-D power amplifier chip. BT30D Pro can drive up to 2 x 175 W into 4-Ω load and 2 x 220 W into 3-Ω load. In addition to excellent audio performance, TPA3255 achieves both high power efficiency and very low power stage idle losses below 1 W. This is achieved through the use of 60 mΩ MOSFETs and an optimized gate driver scheme that achieves significantly lower idle losses than typical discrete implementations.

- What You Get: BT30D Pro Amp x1, power supply x1, user manual x1, our worry-free 24-month warranty, and friendly customer service.

There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
The knobs are made of aluminium, different texture compared to the no-pro, a bit more resistance to turn than the. Same throw switch used to power on.
The 3.5mm PRE OUT is full range.
Bluetooth will be always-ON so your neighbor can hijack your device just like the non-pro version. Remove the antenna to prevent this from happening if you don’t use BT. Come on Fosi Audio, please fix this.
The amp has a 4” tall BT antenna, again it's better than the 7” incher of the DA2120C that looks like a CB radio... Please give us the 1 incher for future products, for once the smaller the better.
BT uses an ATS2853 chip that is also found on the BL20A.
How does it sound?
I did a comparison with Onkyo RZ50 pure output mode (airplay), Aiyima T9 (BT), and the BT30D non-Pro (BT). All using RP5000F towers, with an amp selector switch.
Right away there’s a BIG difference between the non-Pro and the rest.
The Pro version is much more dynamic, the voices are clearer, bass is more present and punch harder.
I honestly cannot tell any audible difference between the RZ50 and the BT30D Pro. The T9 sounds only a tad warmer (thx lamp); Even that it was really hard to tell and it depends on the song being played.
The Pro version sounds definitely better than the non-Pro.
To test the passive sub output, I hooked up my gutted Z2300 logitech subwoofer, it works wonderfully and has a very capable output. However, I didn't like the sub crossover control, the adjustment doesn't feel linear. There are no frequency indications on the knob, it can only be tuned by ears.
The muscle: TPA3255 x 2:
PSU idle voltage: 32.3V
Power adapter output @ 8ohm load current and voltage, 125W:
Same 32V5A adapter used for multiple models. No sparks occurred while plugging in the DC plug compared to the DA2120C I've tested, I made multiple attempts to make sure this is repeatable.
Here I am trying to figure out the max usable volume before getting a bad shaped sine wave, The volume knob is at 3 o'clock, BT reference volume maxed out on my mobile device, no EQ, no tone.
L & R Channel, 8 Ohm load, 1000hz tone, 26Wrms per channel
L & R Channel, 8 Ohm load, 1000hz tone, clipping at 60Wrms
L & R Channel, 4 Ohm load, 1000hz tone, 40Wrms per channel
L & R Channel, 4 Ohm load, 1000hz tone, clipping at 100Wrms
Sub channel @ 4 Ohm load, 75Wrms:
Sub channel @ 4 Ohm load into clipping, 121Wrms:
Noise, tested with max volume:
BT30D non-Pro, audible hiss from speakers during powerup, circuit shuts off when no input signal for 5 secs to prevent constant hissing.
BT30D Pro, barely audible hiss from speakers, you have to stick your ear on the tweeter to hear it. no circuit to shut off the signal, it's not needed because it is not audible sitting away from speakers.
The TPA3255 chips are hungry AND efficient. If you can feed them, they will put out a respectable amount of power for its size. You can upgrade to a 36V power adapter if you are looking to squeeze more juice out of it. It seems most of the manufacturers using this chip have set their bottleneck to the power adapter. If you are looking for a 2.1 amplifier with passive sub output, look no further.
The BT30D Pro is way better than the non-Pro version.
Pros:
Great build quality
Excellent sound quality, to my ear it’s on par with the Aiyima T9 and RZ50
Low noise floor
Runs cool and efficient
Cons:
Cannot turn BT off
Sub frequency needs indication and more linear tuning
Smaller BT antenna please

This is my current set up:
Mac Mini M1 -> USB out to a Soundblaster Omni 5.1 -> Fosi Audio BT30D Pro -> KEF 100s and a powered Sony sub.
Build:
The Fosi Audio BT30D Pro is wrapped in an all aluminum casing and aluminum knobs. The knobs are sturdy and there is some resistance to turn. I find that this helps with the ability to really dial in on preferences for bass, treble and volume.
The case is durable and there's quite a bit of weight to it for it's compact size. There's a switch to to power the amplifier off and on. Red light indicates that there is power and the light will turn blue if it's connected to bluetooth.
Bluetooth pairing is easy and there is no password required. This does mean that someone could hijack your speakers but in my case, I'm not too worried. This is in my office setup and I don't have the 4 inch antenna attached since any BT connections I'll be using will be within a few feet.
The connections on the back can accommodate wired connections or banana plugs for the passive speakers and subs. The pre-out is a 2.5mm output. There's also the RCA line in.
Sound Quality:
The sound quality is excellent. It really brought my KEF100's to life. I have the treble gain at 10 o'clock level and bass turned off since I have a powered sub. Volume is great and will also be dependent on what's coming from the SoundBlaster Omni (I have it set to 50%) and use the Fosi to control the speaker volume.
The audio is crisp and clear with very dynamic sound. I can hear details that were never there before which I greatly appreciate. Audio files are from Tidal Master / Hifi and Apple Music lossless. I don't have music testing equipment, but my ears are in love with this set amplifier.
It's a small package that delivers a powerful punch while maintaining high audio quality.
This is my first Fosi audio purchase and certainly won't be my last. I'll probably try out one of their USB-DACs and finally get rid of my 12+ year old Sound Blaster Omni.
It's also important to note that the Fosi Audio BT30D Pro is very efficient. It comes included with a 32 volt power supply and if you need more, you could try a 36 volt power adapter. The amplifier also runs very cool. I had it on for several hour sessions and the casing never warmed up at all which just speaks to how efficient this amplifier is.
I highly recommend the Fosi Audio BT30D Pro!

I did have an issue with the unit I originally received. It had a slight problem with the treble adjustment knob not effecting the right channel, however I had a good experience with Fosi support and they sent me a replacement unit at no cost. The replacement shipped from China in about a week, which is as fast as I can expect from so far.

Ajuste a tu gusto, cuidado no pongan los ajustes a tope 75% max y con eso tienen sobrado volumen y ajustes
Es muy bueno este mini, mas power comprale la fuente de 36v 5a

I am using 2 diy bookshelf speakers demanding 47w per channel (woofer + tweeter) power input and nominal impedance of 8 ohms per driver. Boy the output is marvellous, the thing goes really loud. For those interested, I am using Dayton Audio DC130A-8 5-1/4 Classic Woofer Speaker paired with Hivi T20 textile dome tweeter, with 1st order butterworth crossover at 4000 Hz. I highly recommend this amplifier. Just dont overkill the speaker wattage and enjoy audiophile quality music.
