GB - Gigabyte, a unit of storage in a computer, equal to ~1,000,000,000 bytes (the actual number of bytes is a little higher, as there are 1024 bytes in a kilobyte, 1024 kilobytes in a megabyte, and 1024 megabytes in a gigabyte.)
DDR4 - A term used to identify a generation of RAM. Short for 'Double Data Rate' it got it's name when DDR1 (usually just referred to as DDR) came out, with double the speed of the previous SD-RAM. RAM speed has come a long way since then, as the speed has approximately doubled with every generation, with the current generation being DDR5.
RAM - Short for Random Access Memory, RAM is lighting-fast temporary storage, where requests get sent to be accessed by other parts of the computer, as opposed to being written on your storage drive. Hence, the more RAM, and the faster it is, the faster your computer will run.
XXXXMh - The speed of the RAM. 3200 Mh is the standard for DDR4, and 1600 Mh is the standard for DDR3. However, DDR5 varies far more than previous generations as far as speed, ranging from 4800 Mh to 8100 Mh (please note, however, that only very high-end expensive motherboards can make full use of a RAM speed as insane as 8100 Mh, and the most common DDR5 speeds are 5400 & 5600.)
Graphics card - The part of your computer responsible for handling how the pixels appear on the screen.
Memory - Another way of saying RAM. I use it to avoid confusion with the computer RAM.
Timetec's 16GB DDR4 RAM is super great. Bought this for my DDR4 laptop, and has dramatically improved performance. While you can only get so good performance on a mid-range laptop like my own (the ASUS Vivobook 15 [X512DA]), I purchased this DDR-4 laptop a few years ago and it came with 4 GB 3200Mh sautered on, as well as a 4 GB 2667 Mh removable RAM (8 GB total). I replaced the latter with Timetec's 16GB 3200Mh DDR4 RAM, leading to a total of 20GB of RAM (which is the max my computer can handle) and have seen significant improvements since.
While you can only get so good for gaming on a laptop (If you're an avid gamer, get yourself a desktop), games that were previously unplayable are now playable on Ok specs. Additionally, the ample RAM is greatly hampered by my [non-removable] graphics card, which has an abysmal 2 GB of dedicated memory. However, even it has been helped by the upgrade, as it is now able to borrow 9 GB of shared memory, compared to the previous 3.
Otherwise, it has improved performance for general use. Thoroughly recommend.
One thing to mention is that my laptop does not have xmp enabled, so this pair cannot run at 3200. If you wish to run them at 3200, make sure to check whether your laptop supports xmp.
For now, I would say that this kit is worth the money, I will come update my review if anything comes up later.

Timetec took care of it via refund.
I've gained confidence in Timetec after purchasing a couple of SSDs in the last year or so (one for the aforementioned laptop) without any issues. Why not test that confidence with a slightly more critical system component?
Though I can't vouch for longevity of the memory (yet), installation went without a hitch. Laptop booted and took longer than usual to get to the desktop but I expected that while the system configured itself for the new RAM. I then opened CPU-Z or whatever it's called and confirmed the presence of64GB @3200 dual-rank (too lazy to post a screenshot.)
My assumption is that if anything was defective, it would have presented itself within the first day or less. It works or it doesn't. This RAM works. There's a slogan for ya.
WIth that said, the minimum requirement for any RAM module for me, is to pass full Memtest suite... and this module (together with the existing one) completes the test on the first run (took hours overnight).
It's been a week and there is no issue with my mini appliance. Have been able to set up a HA cluster of OpnSense, with one node running in a VM as primary, paired with another old mini PC that I happened to have. Virtual IP (CARP) has been working seamlessly between the virtual and physical nodes, serving internet for our whole home, including the virtual lab. No unexpected reboot/crashes on OpnSense nor any other VMs.
For those who don't know, RAM is one of the most crucial pieces for any computing system, esp. with it comes to virtualization.
Very pleased with this purchase. Thank you Timetec for this excellent product. Keep up the good work.

The quality of the memory is apparent right out of the box, and installation was a breeze. Upon setup, I immediately noticed a significant improvement in my computer's performance. The RAM operates at the advertised speed of 3200MHz, which is optimal for my computing needs.
I highly recommend this memory kit for anyone looking to upgrade their laptop's performance. It offers a great balance of quality, performance, and price. Definitely a smart purchase if you're in the market for reliable and efficient memory upgrade.

dmidecode does show it's a 3200 MT stick with total width of 74 bits and data width of 64 bits (proving it's ECC), matching the Synology module. Of course the AMD R1600 only uses the modules at 2400 MT only.
I ran the memory test using Synology Assistant and it passed. Synology also did not flag the module as unsupported.
