I bought this Bluetooth keyboard for iPad at the end of 2023. The keyboard has been working well until now (more than 6 months). The keyboard suddenly has problems. The Bluetooth can connect to my device, but some keyboard buttons do not respond (numbers 1-6 do not respond, numbers 7-0 are normal, and some keys are stuck to other adjacent keys). I contacted the seller in time, and the seller replied to me immediately (one day) and said that he could give me a new device to replace it without returning the faulty device. The new device was sent quickly (2 days). The store's service is very good. They are worried that I may have doubts and extended my warranty time to ensure that the device can operate normally. Although there was a problem with the device at the beginning, given the store's high-quality service, this shopping experience is generally satisfactory. I will add comments after using the product for a while.

I LOVE this keyboard!!! I have been looking for a keyboard that would work with my IPad Pro 5th Gen tablet, but didn’t want to pay the exorbitant cost of the Apple proprietary Magic keyboard, and didn’t like the typing feel of the Logitech or the less expensive Apple keyboard. This has all the features of the Apple product but also has the backlighting, it tilts to a range of viewing angels, has a great feel to the keys for typing, has a selection of function keys on the top row and many shortcut keys, and was super easy to pair with my IPad. The only thing you have to keep on top of….I noticed a few times that the keyboard was not responding and the iPad keyboard would pop up. There were two reasons for this: the mouse tracker was active on the screen, so I just needed to swipe down on the screen and move the cursor off and away, and secondly, I learned that if the charge on the keyboard was diminished, the keyboard wouldn’t respond to my typing and the iPad screen would pop up. As soon as I plugged in the charger, voila, I was back in business. I never use the tracking pad, so would have preferred a version that didn’t have it, but it doesn’t seem to get in the way for the most part. I always type on my lap and this keyboard is definitely sturdy enough and doesn’t wobble when I type. I tuck the latch under the keyboard when typing so it’s out of the way. It is a bit heavier that my previous keyboard, but I got used to it very quickly. The only think I’d change would be to have a cover with a surface that doesn’t show fingerprints and other marks so much. But you can just use a wet cloth and some warm, soapy water and the marks come off nicely. You will not be disappointed with this keyboard. The price point and quality are impressive!

I did a bit of research into Apple knockoffs because the $450 CAD Apple was charging was asinine. I liked the concept, but I'm not paying that money especially if the apple case isn't durable, stainproof, or fully protective including the sides. I also

I settled on this one because I liked that it had function keys, reviews seemed solid, and it was the most affordable knock off I could find on Amazon while simultaneously feeling like it was the one I could best trust. I've only had this for like two days now, but thought I'd write in my first impressions.

Setting it up was confusing and I began to wonder if I had a defective product. After half an hour of failing to connect, I remembered that I had seen a review somewhere stating that you needed to press a couple on the keyboard to start setting up the bluetooth (FN + B for at least 3 seconds). Once I finally clued in to this, connection was quick and easy.

I'm actually finding the typing experience quite nice on this, and I love that is backlit. The function keys have also been super convenient and I am so happy I have them. I find them easy enough to access (and even if they were a bit of an awkward reach, I'd rather have them than not). The keyboard width is about the same as my 16" 2021 macbook pro. The keys feel quite nice to me, although I'm finding I'm making more typos than usual on it. I don't notice a delay when typing.

I didn't know how I would feel about the flap, because I find it looks aesthetically awkward when laid down on the table during use... but it is easy to fold up and place underneath during use, and I'm overall happy it is there because it helps protect the Apple Pencil and it helps everything feel slightly more secure and quality when closed.

The biggest flaw is the trackpad. The movements and gestures are quite now... but if you try to press down to click, if feels cheap and "crunchy". There's an area of it that feels "double crunchy" (hard to explain), which makes me feel like it isn't durable or might eventually fall apart or fail. When first receiving the product, there is a sticker beside the trackpad that guides the user to change the settings to "tap to click" for a better experience. The tab to click is definitely a better experience than the crunchy presses, and it seems pretty good at knowing when I'm navigating vs clicking (I've had trackpads that were ultra sensitive and kept clicking when they weren't supposed to in the past). However, I've found that sometimes you will still need to press down (like when highlighting text).

The ipad stays solidly in place inside of the case, though I which they took the opportunity to create more protection for the sides of the ipad.

It will add quite a bit of weight. This is something I was well aware of before purchasing. This isn't a big deal to me. The reality as that it needs to be heavy to be able to support the ipad's weight. It isn't as adjustable as a laptop, but is more adjustable than I would have expected.

I purchased this is black. It does leave greasy-looking finger marks... but otherwise feels nice and solid, but not necessarily like it'll be durable with heavy travel over years.

So far, I'm super happy with it, especially as I got it a during the Prime October sale slightly cheaper. If my opinion changes with time, I'll update.

Pros:
- This case has one of the best keyboards! The keys are soft and travels enough distance to feel great while typing.
- The layout is perfect for those migrating from Windows. It has very useful Fn button that takes the keyboard to the next level.
- It also blends efficiently into the Mac ecosystem and makes the experience of using the iPad as a laptop great! The ‘Enter’ button is too small for my comfort.
- the keyboard case is heavy but you will eventually get used to it. I am not sure if it should be a pro or a con - so, I am putting it in the pros’ list!
- It holds charge quite long, but not long enough, in my opinion.

Con’s:
- The weight balance is okay but not the best, it is easy to flip the keyboard while iPad is connected by a soft nudge or push.
- The keyboard goes into a deep sleep after inactivity, it takes more time to wake up than some others I have used. This can be a small inconvenience for some.
- It is not easy to use the Apple Pencil to draw while the iPad is held by this case. For effective writing, one can quickly take the tablet off the case or use left hand to support the iPad while writing with the right hand. Being a teacher, I do this all the time, it is not very bad!

Conclusion:
- I have tried 4-5 different type cases and found this case an all rounder. Definitely recommended!

Please note:
1. There are two types of cases, folio type (the case folds to support the iPad) and cantilever type (the case has a cantilever back to lean the iPad against it)
2. Both types have their own advantages and disadvantages. Note the following

Folio type
> give better support for using the ipad on the go, on the laps etc.
> More protection for the tablet.
> More stability when writing with apple pencil.

The cantilever types
> good for ease of use. It is easy to attach and detach the iPad on the case.
> better viewing/typing angles.
> Lacks protection in case of a fall.

This is a great keyboard for half the price of the one sold through Apple. The magnet is very strong to hold the iPad in place. The keyboard is very easy to connect to iPad and I love the different colour backlights you can choose between. The instructions are clear and I like all the functionality.

Awesome product. Light weight, easy to setup and use. My only complaint is that the trackpad is a bit small and the fn key needs to be pressed in order to change the volume or the brightness of the display. Charging is easy and battery life is great. Overall, it is a great product with great quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good cantilever Keyboard

I got this for the cantilever feature. The other keyboard I had did not do that and it always fell over backwards if I took my hands off it. I was very worried going in as I have never had a magnetic mounted case. I was worried it would slide off and would not be protected if dropped. I was very surprised when this thing arrived. It holds my 12.9” iPad Pro like a champ, I have even already dropped it. I even dropped while it was open. Completely protected my IPad Pro, as it fell side first. I don’t think this case exposes it anymore or less as compared to any other keyboard/case combinations. The IPad Pro even stayed mounted and didn’t move. I was really surprised. I have no worries about protection from general falls. Also I have no worried about the IPad coming loose, the hold is strong. The keyboard is very well back lit, the Bluetooth works very well. Some functions like lock don’t work, but I don’t need it, nor would I use it if it did. All the features you need and will use work just fine. I have seen videos and people saying it doesn’t work with the iPad, but I highly doubt they are pairing it correctly. Also I see where some say the track pad don’t work. But it works fine as long as you follow the directions and turn assistive touch off in the settings. All and all this is a really good set up and it absolutely maintains posture when your hands are off and does not fall over. Well worth every penny and money saved since I didn’t have to get the Magic Keyboard. This keyboard has a very good feel, keys feel strong and soft. I would buy another if I needed one, well I actually did for my 11”. So there is that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything I could’ve wanted!
Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2023
Size: iPad 10thColour Name: WhiteVerified Purchase
Using my lovely little ESR keyboard/case combo to type up this review right now. Let’s jump right in!

PROS:
- Quality: the reason I spent this much money on a case/keyboard combo was for the quality. I wanted something that would last, look good, and feel good. This product checks all those boxes. I don’t think I could’ve found a better item unless I’d purchased from Apple directly.

- Look: I purchased the white option and love how clean it looks. The exterior of the case is simply perfect. The magnetic closure looks sleek and isn’t bulky. Interior of the case looks soft and supple. The keyboard is beautiful and the backlight offers x3 light settings that time out after a few minutes spent untouched.

- Feel: feels fantastic. The exterior of the case is smooth and matte without being slippery. The keyboard is what sold me - it 100% feels like a quality keyboard. The sound of the clicks are softly muted rather than that cheap clacky sound you get with other keyboards. The keyboard also has a pleasing texture and feels like it would be easy to clean. With my iPad inside and the case closed, it feels solid and has some weight to it, but this makes me believe in it’s durability. I’m confident if I dropped this case my iPad would be protected. One thing I noted is when the case is open and your iPad is in place, the indent that allows the iPad itself to tilt backwards is tight the first few times you move it - don’t be afraid to use a BIT of force to lean your iPad further back so it’s at a slightly more pleasing angle.

- In Action: does the job and does it well. My iPad stays firmly in place without any slipping in the slightest. The keyboard is small, obviously, but it didn’t take long to adjust to the key spacing (as is the case with any keyboard). Yes, as other reviews have stated, the power button on the keyboard is slightly annoying in its placement, but I don’t mind it. It’s not like I’m clicking it on/off all the time. It’s a non-issue for me.

CONS:
- Backlit keyboard: I feel like some of the lights behind the keys are very slightly brighter than others. This is probably due to where the bulbs are placed behind the keys and not because any of the bulbs are faulty. For example, my ‘A’ key looks mildly brighter than my ‘L’ key. I seriously doubt most users would notice it. I didn’t until just now, and it’s not at all significant enough for me to want to return this case.

- Mousepad: I feel like I have to press down a little harder on the mousepad to make a selection, vs the pressure I apply on my laptop. Not a significant issue.

- Backspace button: slightly smaller than what I would’ve preferred, but again, not significant.

WISHES:
- Mousepad: I wish the mousepad had the tap-to-select option some laptops have, rather than actually having to press down to hear the click for it to select. This is because the mousepad doesn’t have the little left/right mouse buttons, it’s just a single square. So my mind doesn’t think to press down to select, because there’s no button! It would be nice to simply tap the mousepad and have that be enough to select.

Overall I strongly recommend this keyboard.

5.0 out of 5 stars ESR Magic Keyboard - volle Punktzahl!!
Reviewed in Germany on July 2, 2024
Verified Purchase
Schnell geliefert, gut verpackt, schnell ausgepackt, schnell connected!

Pro:
