Be patient when installing
This kit is a good value for eight (8) J channels. There are a couple of things you should be aware of:1 - Although it does come with double-sided tape, there's not nearly enough if you follow their prescribed application -- two (2) strips going the full length of each channel. There's only enough for four (4) applications that way. What I did was use four (4) short strips going perpendicular across the channel.. I still got solid and secure adhesion. And,2 - The plastic isn't very rigid and is quite flexible. This is not a good thing as the weight and tension of the cables will apply undue force. Yes, it does allow for easy insertion of cables; but with the channel in a state of constant applied force, over time this could result in structural failure. I suggest making sure the cables are placed with extra slack so they won't unnecessarily exert force on the channels. In other words, make sure the cables sit nice and loosely in the channels so they don't pull them open.Be patient when installing these. I suggest mapping out how you want to route your cables and plan your channel placement accordingly. I prefer mounting these under my desk rather than on the back edge of my tabletop -- they're still concealed, and this will help prevent dust and anything else from falling in and/or accumulating.
