I bought this to house my assortment of Prismacolor Premier pencils, most of which I had been given in a bin. After adding to the stash, and discovering that I had extra colours that aren't part of the usual 150-colour range, I wanted a way to store them in an organized way (I'm one of those people who likes to have the colours in order in a nice line while working).
The quality of this case is really good, with an attractive embossed leather-like finish. Each pencil has its own slot, which I prefer to three-pencil slots. The "sheets" of pencils are three-ringed, so they can be snapped in and out if you want to remove a particular selection to work with. The zippers are sturdy, the strap clips are metal, and the strap has a pad, which is nice to have. The case is larger than I thought it would be, but not larger than it needs to be. Also a bit heavier than you expect when it's all loaded up.
Other features include:
• Magnetic snap to secure zipper flap
• Interior zipper pocket that would hold a phone, small notebook, sharpener, erasers, etc. with ease.
• An elasticated mesh pocket to hold flat items like a thin sketchbook, map, ephemera, etc.
This also came with an extra zippered case that fits a sketchbook nicely, along with a couple sleeves of pencils, making for a nice studio-plus-grab-and-go combo.
I bought this at about $40 in April. I think it's gone up a little, but it's still available for around $50, which is still worth it. Keep an eye out for the right price. Some of these are going for $100-$135 for the exact same thing.

Ça fait la job
Pour ce que ça coûte, ça fait la job.Les crayons micron sont vraiment dur à entrer mais c’est faisable (c’est fait pour des crayons de plomb pis des stylos). J’ai aussi mis des sharpie pis ça rentre bien, faut juste laisser un espace entre chaque crayons parce qu’ils sont trop gros.L’élastique pour tenir les crayons est attaché au genre de carton (l’intérieur gris) et je sais pas entre si c’est fiable, quand j’ai mis mes micron ça l’a craqué un peu mais pas brisé.Je trouve personnellement qui fait un tit peu cheap à cause de ses coutures (entre les élastiques et le fond), mais rien à encore brisé, je serais juste pas surprise si y’en à qui lâche avec mes plus gros crayons vu qui faut que je tire après.

I was pretty tough with some of the elastic loops to fit in the Microns, and they didn't pull or tear from the backing, they are sewn in securely. How this will hold up over time as I'm pulling them out and squeezing them back in, we'll see but the elastic should give a bit too once I work with them for awhile. The zipper heads are also pretty decent, they aren't too thin and should hold up fine with plenty of opening and closing. Same with the case zippers around each section, they really do seem to be decent quality that will hold up over time. I like the wrist handle for the convenience of carrying but it is detachable so if you don't want it, just take it off. Both the zipper heads and the wrist loop attachment ring can be used to hold assorted jewel charms and other fun stuff that youngsters love.
It's also nice that each section is zipped, rather than a deep case with one zipper all around, it makes it too fussy trying to get pencils out from the bottom layers. This lays pretty flat too no matter what section you have open.
I've only been using this for a little while so if anything changes, I'll post an update here but so far I'm very pleased, especially considering how the price can't be beat (from what I found).
I posted some pictures to give you an idea of how everything fits together. I also did some shots so you can see the size of the case compared with a box of Kraft Dinner thinking everyone could identify with that ;)
Also a tip: If you are debating about what size to get, I suggest going bigger than you think you need. You'll be surprised at how quickly you accumulate goodies to store in here.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how sturdy this case is. I searched high and low for a few days and this was the best buy I found (for the size). I wanted something that would hold not only regular pencils/pencil crayons, but also some Twistables and Micron pens (all have different widths). Both the Twistables and regular Crayolas were easy to slip into their slots and stay put, the Microns are trickier and tighter to slide in, but they do fit (tight).
