A pipe broken in my home office and I had to clear everything out so the plumber would be able to replace the broken pipe so brought my computer upstairs and put it in the living room cause I had an internet wire there already from a another computer that i got rid of it but always left the wire there anyway as I am setting up my computer and ready to plug it I come to see the the Ethernet wire was 10 feet too short so I was about to remove it and pass another one of 50 feet when my son told me to take a look at Amazon maybe they sold something that was able to connect two internet wires together I never heard of that but gave it a shot found what I was looking for read the reviews some people said it worked other said it was no good well let me say it works really great and if you don`t need one get one just in case you too i got the set of five just in case hope this helps anyone who thinks it does not work

They work. Use them for connecting some Ethernet cables that connect a couple outside cameras after some ice buildup on one of our buildings cut through them. I also have some used to extend the length of some cabling in our building that I just do not have the time to run new lines for. Good little guys that do what they are supposed to.

I cut an ethernet cable and instead of running a new one just terminated the ends and used one of these. Obviously you want to avoid using couplers but sometimes it's okay. They work and seem to be of pretty good quality. I've bought other things from this brand and it's all been good so went with these.

I ran into an issue where I needed to extend an existing cable run and couldn't do a new pull. There are a lot of these type of couplers on Amazon.ca, and most are garbage. I needed a better quality version. The reviews on this one helped me choose them and I'm happy with them.

They couple two male cable ends with the expected snap-in and go process. No lag, dropped packets or other side-effects. I was happiest to see that my network speed of 1 Gbps was maintained. I have not tested them higher than 1 Gbps (I have some special ports at 3 Gbps on my switch & NAS) but the speed is smooth an uninterrupted.

I am a network engineer and the mantra of the profession is that "if you need a coupler, then you pulled/terminated your cable wrong (short) and it's on you". Well, I've come around now. Yes, mixing cables generally isn't a great way to maintain performance, but there are times when you have no viable options, and this is a low cost solution to resolve a situation. Just don't start plugging in a bunch of 1m cables together in a run. These are passive and won't boost your signal strength; too many and it will decay.

These ones are a little bit more expensive than the crappy multicolour ones on the site, but they are worth every extra penny.

I needed an cat 6 ether net cable length that was not common, so I got theses instead. I was able to connect two ether net cable to get the length I need by using these connectors. I tell you what, it worked better than I expected. I ran a speed test on the cable before using the connector and after I finish running the cable with the connectors. I only seen between 5 to 8 mbps drop. i have been running them for a few months now and they are still going strong.
