I've always been a fan of this brand from China (UGREEN) and have been buying their products for years because they are affordable and always deliver on quality. This Ethernet Adapter is no exception. It just works, no fuss, no issues. Not only does it work on my Windows, Linux and Apple products in the house but it also works on my IPAD 10th Generation A14 model which isn't listed on the item page. I've written to the seller to let them know, but also wanted to include it here. I purchased my IPAD 10th generation when I need to occasionally work on my various network servers and firewall but don't have the space for a Laptop. This Ethernet adapter made it possible. Works perfectly at full Gigabit speed as well. Just plug it in and you will see "Ethernet" appear in your settings area of your IPAD or other Apple product.

Works well, better than another model I bought directly from a different company which requires 2 of my USB-C ports to work due to the other ports on it, thereby blocking the charging port on my MacBook Pro. The materials it's constructed of are also better than the average plastic piece of junk.

However, the LIGHTS this thing has blinking as signal is transmitting through it are absolutely horrible. Painful for the eyes, actually. I have had to cover the little LEDs to prevent eye damage because they are that crazily bad. One orange, one green.

If you have eye issues, avoid at all costs. If you wish to avoid potential injury to your eyes, avoid at all costs. Or at the very least, be prepared to cover those suckers up with some electrical tape.

Tested using iperf and got 930mbit/sec consistent speed and reliability (no packet loss) without any sign of a heat issue. ASIX Chipset seems to be superior to the alternative Realtek adapters. I tested on windows 10 using the manufacturers driver instead of the native driver. Make sure you download the CORRECT native driver from the UGREEN website as there are two different models of this adapter. This model is the 50737 with the AX88179A chipset. Build quality seems very sturdy but yet to see if it stands the test of time (if bending the cable too many times will cause the usb connection to become unstable).
