I love the new Fire TV remote. It’s an improvement over the previous remote that adds dedicated buttons for Netflix, Prime, Disney and Amazon Music. The Alexa integration is good, as in the previous version and the remote is sized just right and feels great in hand.The one feature I wish this remote had is one programmable button where I can choose which app to launch directly. I use Plex quite a lot and would love to be able to launch it with it’s own button. Note the remote isn’t compatible with all Fire Stick versions (supports 2020 and 2021 versions), so check your Fire Stick version if considering an upgrade.

This is the second one I have purchased. The first one must have come from a second-hand dealer as it would not work, in fact, it didn't even come with instructions. I could not find my order number so I had to eat the cost. This one I have now must have come direct from Amazon as it came with batteries and instructions, unlike the first one I bought. So now I am out of pocket, but happy.

I bought it as a replacement since the original remote stopped working within 8 months, possibly due to mishandling (the kids may have dropped it). It took a couple of attempts to pair with my FireTV 4K Max stick. The process didn't go as indicated in the instructions. There was no indication on the TV screen to confirm that pairing was successful. But it just started working!! I bought it from Amazon Customer Service who sent me a link to the product on their site since there are one too many third party sellers and I couldn't tell which one was the real deal. So the agent I spoke to also offered a 15% discount since the defective remote was only 8 months old.

Purchased this product less than a year ago. All off a sudden it started draining batteries like crazy. I would replace them and it would work fine the. The next day it would say to replace again. I did this a few times thinking it was the batteries but after changing them multiple times and reading other people’s reviews stating the same issue I knew it was the remote. Complete garbage! So not waste your money in this product.
