Camera is good, app is so-so...
I've had the Wyze camera for a few months now so I can write a proper review.I'm using this in the window of my kitchen and because it's inside I can't use IR night vision, which I knew before I bought it. I didn't plan to use it outside so I was prepared. I also bought a third party window mount so it could be angled towards the right and not just facing straight.Overall the video quality is good. I did have an instance where I needed some photos and video of a suspicious person and the face was clearly visible in both photo and video. For the price of this camera I'm impressed by the quality. You're also able to "block off" areas of detection in the app if you want ( see my screenshot ) which can be helpful if you don't want it to detect motion in certain places like leaves moving in a tree, etc.However I'm NOT a fan of the app. I pay for the "Plus" account and it's not worth it in my opinion. Many of the apps features stopped working. The app doesn't give me notifications for ANY events anymore even though it's set to send notifications through the app as well as in my phone settings. Also the "rules" you can set in the app don't seem to work anymore so I deleted them. Basically I need to check the app manually every time I want to see if something has happened. The app is decent with recognizing people vs. tree movements, however I wish the app would send me notifications of people being around like it's supposed to.Overall I think the price is good. Much less expensive than other cameras. I'm happy I could mount it to my window like I wanted. However the app needs some updating. I just want notifications Wyze !

This is our 3rd time purchasing a wyze camera. They have all been the basic ones and work great as baby monitors. The resolution on this one is 2x better than the one we've had for 4 years already. Wyze is an easy app to use too!
