I read lots of review of different IP cameras 1 of the major complaints are
1) image isn’t clear which is not in this case, the video effect of Tapo camera is amazingly clear!
2) Subscription - people complaining they need to pay for the service but $4+ per month only!!! I got notification from motion detector! Video upload to cloud & free play back!
The system is easy to install & configure less than 10 mins each which I bought 2 sets (1 per floor) they all work great!!

Excellent camera and app. However, be wary of the stickers to attach the camera to the ceiling. After a few days, mine fell to the ground 8 feet. It still seems to work but, secure the plate with screws. For this reason, I give it 4 out of 5.

The night vision is very good, and the spotlight is bright. Even in day mode, the camera can see very well in low light. The speaker and microphone are also good for talking with someone on the camera or capturing a record. Battery life has been impressive. I only saw about a 4% drop in 2 weeks.
The 2K/QHD nomenclature is a little confusing as these are different resolutions depending on who you ask. I work in TV and 2K in my world is about 2048x1080. The camera records in QHD 2560x1440, which is a very nice resolution. Not a complaint, but a note.
Things I think could be improved:
Formatting an SD card was very easy and downloading to my phone is super easy. I wish there was also a web version of the app so I could view it on my PC or Laptop. I've heard this is being explored for future addition.
The magnetic camera is super easy to place and retrieve, but seems like it could be easy for someone to steal if they so desired. A tether or lock attachment could be a nice addition.
Recharging is very easy, but since the batteries are not swappable there would have to be a downtime while recharging.
Overall, this is a great camera and a great value for what it can do, especially being from a trusted brand. There was clearly a lot of thought and design put into it and the experience using it, and I appreciate the improvements over the C420.
