So I love this product but it has its draw backs. Firstly you need to tone down the expectations. It is not going to be 100 perfect. I find depending on the media you are watching, the settings need to be set accordingly. Luckily there are a few save spots for your settings. Depending on the content your going to want to fine tune the lights for animations, cold spectrum, and warm spectrum. Also realize that for the color white, this will not glow white, it'll be an off red or off blue color, as well as when there is large amounts of black, it'll display blue.You will need to spend considerable amount of time calibrating it. YouTube is going to be your friend here with multiple videos that will display colors and patterns to ensure you have properly calibrated the unit. Once this is done it'll be a fun way to consume your tv media. I highly recommend adding additional light strips for a whole room effect. Keep in mind different light strips will give off slightly different hues.Also a limitation of the system is that if there are too many colors to choose from in the picture, it'll confuse it.There are also different settings that will give you a pre programed light show or you can even make your own.I love that it is also able to be controlled by Alexa. I can tell Alexa to turn on my tv and the lights .I'm very happy with this purchase.

Wasn't entirely sure what to expect with this. To be honest I was leery of the camera and how it would look, but we barely notice it. Minimal lag between colour changes and makes visually explosive movies a joy. Also is nice to just have on to set the ambiance.

So my TV room was dark blue and I installed this behind my new 65'' OLED TV and clearly it needed a brighter background wall to work right. The reds were simply lost on dark blue and forget about color rendering. So I painted the wall behind the TV white. OMG what a difference, I was able to reduce the brightness considerably to assist with product longevity and ajust the colors as best I could.

In the end though most often when the TV is white or off white in colour, the backlight is turquoise blue. I played with the tint in the app and dragged that almost all the way to red (90% to the right) and it got somewhat better, but still is clearly blue. on some scenes it is capable of producing white however, but mostly it ends up blue when it clearly should be white.

Bottom line though, this product is awesome, the sync to the TV colour is pretty good, but nowhere near perfect, what I like most is that when the scene is bright the wall is lit up, but when the scene becomes dark and spooky, then the backlight does not ruin the scene and goes dark as well.

I'm still happy with my purchase and good thing, because removing it to return it would surely be a hassle.

In the end though I might have been happy with a cheaper model not paying extra for RCBIC-W. Or maybe those other models would have had worse colour matching.

 If you are in doubt, buy it without any worries! The video is using the “Part” mode (just sides and top LED are on) the last photo has the “All” mode (all LED are on). Sadly I can just upload one video here and we all know getting a recording of a bright screen in a dark room does not translate well.

Good to know:
- My TV is 55” and the long strip on the top was a tight fit.
- Make sure to take your time during installation and try the calibration of the camera at night time, during the day you’ll get reflection of objects in your living room
- This is my second Govee product, both work great with the their app
- Lots of customizations on the app that I haven’t tried

10/10 reco this to anyone, it works nice and the living room is stylish.

Well, I’ve always wanted to spoil myself with some fancy interactive LED lights. I was only aware of philips hue but I was hesitant to purchase it since it was quite expensive and required multiple other devices from Philips to get the interactive light working. After some research, I came across this beauty and I was quite surprised by the raving reviews of this product. I recently bought a Hisense 55” ULED tv so I figured I’d go a step further and elevate my movie experience with this product. I must say, this product kills it! It took a while to attach it to the back of my TV with precision and attach all of the cables, hub and whatnot and neatly hide the cables. Once it was attached, the whole calibration process wasn’t as much of a hassle as I thought. All I had to do was attach the orange cubes around the screen (I decided not to use the youtube video since I couldn’t see it well enough through the camera). Once the calibration was done, the app was fairly easy to use albeit with a lot of options that may confuse you. I fired it up and was blown away at the color reproduction! I did find it a little too saturated and found the colors a little off but after a quick google search, I was able to locate the saturation and color balance settings in app. After a bit of tweaking, following the youtube video from Govee ( I highly recommend using the color calibration video that plays different colors to check the color representation) I was able to get it spot on. Not only does Govee offer insane amount of customisation, they also offer comprehensive video support to help you along the way. If you have any questions, just head over to their youtube channel and you’ll most likely find all the answers you’re looking for. Overall, I’m quite impressed with the product and I find myself unnecessarily grinning like a child every time I watch television in the night! Quick note - this is only good at night time with no lights on. If you have lights on, it’ll start reflecting those colors, so please turn on any lights in and around the television. It gets bright enough to not require any additional lights)
