Great quality qi2 charger for iPhone

This charger works well, charges fast, and has strong magnets for the phone. I have an iPhone 15 Pro, and a Mous intralock case. This ESR mount holds the phone strong, I haven't had it fall out in the first week of use, no close calls, nothing. I have another ESR mount that holds similarly strong and have been on cross coast road trips. They do good magnets! Also the adhesive seems strong, and reusable. I put it in one spot on my dash, but wasn't happy. I took it off, wiped the adhesive with water, and restuck it. It's been great.

The qi2 charging support in newer iOS versions works great, and you even get the little magsafe animation.

I use this in my work truck, the road is rough but to my suprize it’s never fell off the dash. I did have to buy some 3M pads to mount it to, but I think that would be the case with any mount . These pads have an adhesive on one side to stick to your vehicle and the other side has a smooth round surface for the phone mount to stick to. It has a great extension arm to move it in any direction you need. It’s not as flimsy as I thought it would be for a plastic arm it’s actually really strong.

But only down side I found that it only comes with C-Type to C-Type cable, which was a problem for me as my car dont have any C type slot. Which feel would be case for a lot of people as only recent cars have C type slot.
I had to spend extra to get additional cable and then was good to go (therefore just 4 Star)

I’ve tried a few different phone mounting options for the car but by far this has been the best. The suction pad also has adhesive to ensure a strong bond to the dash or window, and when it comes time to remove it doesn’t leave any residue. The magnets are very strong, I recommend having a MagSafe halo lock case on your phone. I do notice the charging is faster than my previous charger, it doesn’t compare to plugging it in but the convenience is amazing and any charging improvements are welcomed.

Installed it to my vehicle using the supplied hardware. The low profile mount allows me to hide it behind my screen so doesn't look as cluttered and puts its in a perfect position for me. It uses a sticky pad to secure to any spot, no concerns with it falling off.

The best thing for me was (unexpectedly) the stickiness of the suction cup. It's not the usual silicone suction cup but feels sticky and so was actually a little difficult for me to pull out to reposition! But the suction was so good that I'm sure it would hold an ipad even! Otherwise the rest of the mount is pretty solid- though there is a very slight jitter over uneven roads- almost negligible. You can rotate your phone to any angle you wish pretty easily and it charges pretty quick too. Doesn't get hot as I was afraid it would, just warm, even after an hour of charging.

It Really Works Well - UPDATE

Was unsure about how well it would adhere to the textured dash (Escalade) but it does, even through significant bumps and rough roads. Magnetic feature easy to use and holds. Charges without issue. Although a bit more money that others I highly recommend this holder.

UPDATE: Had an issue with the charger as it stopped suddenly. Followed the informative support provided but I could not resolve the problem. Reached out to ESR who got back to me within hours and immediately resolved the problem. Two days later my charger is working and everything is great. Really like the unit. The real test in any purchase is what the company does when something goes wrong, and these people get 6 stars and my thanks! Wish other companies had this kind of support.

Does not fit iPhone 14 pro *UPDATE*

*Update*: ESR reached out to me and sent me their updated version to replace the outdated one I bought. The new version does not have a clearance issue and is a lot sturdier. I have left the original review below but note that it is outdated.

There’s a clearance issue with the iPhone 14 pro camera bump that does not allow the phone to sit flush with the mount (as seen in the picture). This leads to the phone easily falling off the mount because it is not connected fully. I am able to angle the phone a certain way so the clearance is some what better, but it still doesn’t solve the problem completely. I have also tried charging it with a quick charger brick, and it doesn’t charger very fast only gained around 20% with a full hour of charging, but that may also be due to the clearance issue. Unfortunately, this forces me to buy a different case because I originally had a bumper style case without a back plate. The clearance issue should be solved with a thick enough case that has a back plate, I just bought the ESR case with the MagSafe ring, so hopefully that will solve the problem.

I originally bought this mount before I had upgraded to the 14 pro. I had used it with my iPhone XS Max. Since that phone didn’t have MagSafe, I just bought the ESR halo lock rings to place on the back of the phone and just use it as a regular car mount. It was amazing as a car mount, the magnet was really strong, speed bumps weren’t a problem, and I was able to easily take the phone off and on without issues.

I have bought a lot of ESR products and they always seem to perform well, I hope they will be able to help alleviate the issue.

I recently purchased the ESR Car Mount Charger from Amazon and wanted to share my experience. Unfortunately, I ran into an issue when trying to install it in my car. The charger is designed to be installed on a smooth surface, but my car's dashboard has a textured surface. Because of this, I couldn't properly secure the mount.

At first, I was quite frustrated, especially since I missed the return window on Amazon. However, I decided to contact ESR's support team to see if they could help. I must say, their customer service was exceptional. They took the time to understand the problem and explained why the charger wouldn't stick to my textured dashboard. To my surprise, they issued me a full refund even though I had passed the return period.

Despite the installation issue, I want to highlight that the product itself is of really good quality. The build feels sturdy, and it seems like it would work great on a smooth surface as intended. So, a big thumbs up to ESR for both their product quality and their outstanding customer service.
