I’ve been wanting a 2nd controller and was going to buy another Xbox controller because I didn’t want to get garbage, but I’m not very impressed by the xbox controllers. I noticed this controller on sale for $26 and figured why not give it a try, I am very pleased, plugged in the usb dongle and hit the power button on the controller and it instantly worked, played some games with it and it worked flawlessly. Very impressed by the response time and how solid it feels, made me feel like a better player.

I have been using this controller with both Windows 10 and Windows 11 without any issue. When using MAME32, I can easily assign which buttons I want to use as control for each of the games. Can work both wired and wireless. I never ran out of power yet on wireless. Documentation states that battery can work up to 25 hours and take only 2 hours for a full recharge from empty. The cable provided has USB-C (controller) to USB-A and is only 3 feet long. Too short for my liking. I got myself a 3m long cable that gives me plenty of distance from the console and screen when needed.
Buttons are firm, yet smooth when being clicked and the joysticks have no loose feel at all, thus providing very good result even with small moves. While great overall, my original goal was to use it with the Gamestation Pro and it is unfortunately not supported "yet". However, 8BitDo has other models that can work with different consoles as well.
