Lambda Agri has achieved very high indicative crop yield increases at NIAB, using our active spray coating solution on cold frames! Plants are messy systems, and we shall endeavor to obtain statistically significant results from our current NIAB trials using glass provided by Pilkington Holding GmbH | NSG Group, the results of which will be out in just a week, so stay tuned!

Our Lambda agri scientists have been busy spray coating greenhouses for tomato 🍅 growth this summer🌞! Why does this matter? Tomatoes are a key crop in the Netherlands, where we plan to begin early sales in 2025 (or earlier!). The UK and the Netherlands have very similar whether, according to Dutch growers we interviewed, easing our logistics. A big thanks to Cranfield University's academics (specifically Andrew Thompson's group) who replaced the glass in the greenhouses and planted the tomato plants! #Collaboration #Sustainableagriculture #Tomatoes

We wanted to tell a story, a story on how climate change will affect our food security and how that will affect us all. Tech Nation #RisingStars recognised this as a global problem as well as the simplicity of our scalable solution. Winning the regional event, in one of the most innovative and competitive regions in the world fills us with gratitude. The connections made have already been invaluable!

The Lambda Family grows! We are excited about our new highly skilled recruit Stephanie Sheppard, PhD. She has hit the ground running with our plant growth trials at NIAB (Cambridge) and is never short of great ideas! You're just who we were looking for, welcome to the family :)

Last week, with the help of the plant scientists at NIAB, in particular, Emma Smith and Ben Tea, Lambda agri spray coated 36 polycarbonate cold frames. The coatings used different paints and concentrations of our active materials. In a few weeks, we will know how lettuce, beetroot, spinach, and rocket plants respond to the downshifted light. This will provide a steer on the optimal coating for the 3000 m2 summer trials at Langmead Herbs and New Farm Produce Ltd. This project is generating incredible goodwill and support. Special thanks to the LMA Services Limited R&D team for providing us with their excellent paint and to Brett Martin Ltd, particularly Richard Vaughan, for supplying the polycarbonate!

Today , we are supporting other AgriTech ventures alongside We Are Incandescent. The UKII Intelligence Report is launching end of April, profiling 500 pioneering companies across UK industry, including Lambda agri!

Lambda agri took a stand for sustainability in the food supply chain at the 9th Annual Sustainability Week conference organised by The Economist.
