Xia has been a joy to work with here at Cambridge&. Her deep dive into the challenges and opportunities in sustainability and healthcare for us will be shared with the ecosystem. And her identification of international companies we should be encouraging to come here is an exciting next step which Harriet Fear MBE who has been her commercial 'supervisor' under the MBE programme looks forward to digging into as part of her own Special Adviser role for C&. Cambridge& is really looking forward to being at #UKREiiF Cambridgeand Duncan McCunn our CEO will be flying the flag. While Harriet Fear MBE our Special Adviser is in the corridors of Westminster supporting London Stansted Airport with their Parliamentary Reception today. Never a dull moment!
🎉 One week to go to UKREiiF! 🎉 On Wednesday morning in Leeds, we will be hosting a session on access to the grid and what that means for our cities. Join chair Cllr Susan Brown, Leader of Oxford City Council, and speakers Barbara Hammond, Chief Executive at the Low Carbon Hub, Nigel Tipple, Chief Executive of Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP), and Bill Cotton, Corporate Director of Environment and Place at Oxfordshire County Council, as they discuss how we can ensure this pressing issue does not prevent the sustainable development of our cities and businesses. Sustainable development is a critical issue for local leaders in industry and government everywhere, and our current grid system is struggling to keep up with the demand from growing populations and new technologies. Listen as our speakers examine how local areas can strike a balance, and what more can be done to address this issue. This event will be taking place on Wednesday, 22nd May from 10.15 - 11.15 at the Oxford to Cambridge region pavilion in Pavilion Square at the Royal Armouries. We hope to see you there!

The leadership team at Stansted Airport/MAG have been spending quality time with Cambridge&. Seeking to fully understand the international needs and the growth potential of the Greater Cambridge region. And its impact positively regionally and nationally, and the role the airport can play in this. We are delighted to see their latest figures and continue to support their plans for deeper and greater connectivity into global international markets. Duncan McCunn Harriet Fear MBE
The positive start to 2024 continued into April, as record volumes of both passengers and cargo passed through the airport! ✈️ London Stansted Airport welcomed 2.48 million passengers during the month to record its busiest ever April, beating the previous high set in 2019 by more than 90,000 passengers! We also experienced a record-breaking month as more than 27,000 tonnes of freight passed through the airport, the highest monthly total ever. This global connectivity is vital to the business ecosystem, particularly in the Greater Cambridge area, supporting businesses in a wide range of sectors to trade globally, as well as facilitating international e-commerce - Cambridgeand Read more ➡️ https://bit.ly/3WyTrIL
