NeonHD, 14 Mar 2024Not bad actually, considering the price, specs and design. Even its depth sensor is more usefu... moreDepth sensors on smartphones are no more than psychological gimmicks. They're usually low bin spec contact image sensors that are as small and cheap as possible (see GalaxyCore GC02M1). Many OEMs don't even ship software that utilizes them, and when they do they usually hardcode them to use the least amount of resources possible. The "portrait" or "bokeh" depth effect is achieved mostly through software, and you can confirm that without looking at code simply by the fact that flagship devices rarely feature depth sensors. You can also apply the effect with apps (see Photoshop Express & Google's editor). There are some devices (see older Huawei and some Apple) that utilize true "depth sensors" but again they're mostly useless. A macro camera is relatively more useful than a depth sensor in practical scenarios.
Why can't a phone have everything that we need. Why create this gem and not include NFC? 😑
I am pleasantly surprised to see someone fitting in 5000 Mah in mere 175 grams. Hope they launch a sub 160 gram replacement for a now ageing Mi 11 Lite from almost 3 years ago.
Not bad actually, considering the price, specs and design. Even its depth sensor is more useful than a 2MP macro.
+SD card
+3.5 jack
Very good phone.
I've never seen a 5G smartphone without NFC !
Is this a new trend from Xiaomi this year ???

And then there's the Helio lineup where nothing makes sense and we get the Helio G72, a rebranded Helio P70?

Rebranded Redmi Note 13 5G ⚰️⚰️⚰️
Or maybe not,I'm not sure
The Dimensity 6080 is a rebranded Dimensity 810.
The Redmi 10X 5G came with a Dimensity 820 4 years ago for an identical price. So 4 years and all that's really changed is the refresh rate of the display.
Pathetic, Xiaomi. And Mediatek.
I hate how Dimensity has butchered the Dimensity line. Can't tell what's good and what's a rebrand from years ago without looking up the chip.
