Once again the Chinese numbers don't add up in the real world and we're left with a scam phone.
-80W charging yet charges only to 65% in 30 minutes, while the S24 Ultra charges to 69% with just 45W charging.
-Titanium color, yet not only is it just aluminium, it even has plastic.
- 5500 mah battery and SD 8gen3, but last a whopping hour less than the X100 pro, and the S24 Ultra easily beats it with 500 mah less.
- Subpar manual brightness at just 500 nits.
- Horrible blue fringing because of curved screen
- Huge bottom bezel
- Speaker loudness also not on par with other phones
- Phone gets so hot you cant touch it
- Video jerking and dropped frames
- Subpar ultrawide

Less noise.
Not even 10% of NR and sharpening.
Much higher colour accuracy.
1) many cams do have frame stacking too. No photographer bothers to use.
2) the glass is indeed giving the edge over $5 plastic lenses on phones, you want or not.
3) do not use the 20mp as excuse, since you always claim 50mp QB is equivalent to 50mp bayer.
4) video quality difference is beyond bizarre. Avoiding background overexposure does not save phones from giving much lower video quality. Looking " pretty" =/= being good
sondesix, 01 Jul 2024I think I know the reason why the charging speed is so slow on your unit.
On the settings a... moreNo, they're absolutely right. I measured mine charging, and it will technically hit 80w briefly, so long as the phone is quite cool, but it rapidly drops down to the 30s-40s range where it stays. Activating the screen drops it down to ~20w. This is with fast charging enabled as the default. Their top up times look very similar to mine as well as I normally charge approx 40% into my battery while I eat breakfast and it takes about 20 minutes.
I also very much echo the same complaint about the ultrawide camera. It does a good job of capturing information, but its output is just short of nice to look at. Sadly, my old Mate 40 Pro with its smaller ultrawide camera (admittedly not as wide either) makes much more interesting looking photos. Luckily for me, the ultrawide is my least used lens.

Vivo can only do bit better than other brands when using much larger sensors.
Since super wide and selfie are not much that different, they cannot do better than other.
Zero enhancements would result in better photos.

Lenses... moreBut you can have only two out of three: a fast lens, a big sensor, and a small lens. You cannot cheat the physics. Fast lenses on FF or Medium Format cameras are not big just to look cool. Unfortunately, it is the price that we all have to pay if we want to have better picture quality. And as for me, I am willing to pay that price.
The Zeiss Natural mode takes nice photos. The camera bump alone ruins the phone though. Lenses shouldn't be as large as possible; they should be as small as possible.

Anonymous, 01 Jul 2024That bokeh blur on telephoto is criminal! The worst blur I've seen in a very long time. P... moreI would say the faux bokeh mode on this phone is actually pretty great. It's hard to find faults in the way it cuts out subjects, details aren't overprocessed and you get a wide range of options regarding how bokeh is supposed to look (The one in the review is Biotar Style but there are 6 more to choose from). The fake depth of field in the macro mode is unnecessary because you get such a shallow depth of field from the telephoto camera's large diameter lens in the first place.
It would have been interesting to see a comparison with the Pixel 8 Pro at 350mm + Night Sight (Google's Night Sight improves the tele performance even in perfect light conditions because the signal to noise ratio is improved).
Anonymous, 01 Jul 2024Cant even beat type 1.0 sony rx100 m7 , imagine a M4/3 panasonicDefine "beating" RX100 Mark 7, because it would absolutely fall apart in low light scenes in scenes GSMArena shot these photos which I can guarantee. Expect tons of blown-out and colours in light sources as well as noisy images, since DRO only lifts shadows and doesn't touch highlights at all and its noise reduction (both stacking and post-processing) in general is very primitive compared to what X100 Ultra offers.
Don't even bother bringing Pana's m43 compact cameras here, LX100's lens is very soft wide open and it has to be stopped down considerably before it can achieve decent corner-to-corner sharpness. Sure it has an F1.7 aperture at the widest end of the zoom, but obviously it comes with a cost especially when it has to fit within such a compact body.

But Gsmarena has at least published the full resolution 200 megapixel images. Nonetheless, static objects could look better at 340mm as there would be less processing time to combine multiple frames. I don't know whether they combine multiple frames in the full resolution 200 megapixel mode..
"This module is similar in concept to the Magic6 Pro's telephoto, though Honor markets it as 180MP and it's a different sensor model and lens specs."
Furthermore, from what I have seen, it seems that Honor always uses 4-1 analog binning or 16-1 binning, which means that the "180 megapixel" sensor actually behaves like a 45 megapixel Quad Bayer sensor. I couldn't find reviews with 180 megapixel sample images, but the 270mm sample images (in good light conditions) I have seen looked very pixelated and indicate that they always use analog binning. Moreover, Honor even crops the sensor (they also crop the sensor of the main camera), so it's a 45 megapixel 61mm camera, which is cropped in order to get a 37 megapixel 68mm Quad Bayer camera.
Without analog binning, it would have been 180 megapixel at 61mm and slightly less than 150 megapixel at 68mm.

The 340mm sample images are missing because the high resolution allows for 340mm 12.5 megapixel photos without upscaling. The (10x) 230mm images seem to be 27 megapixel Tetra²pixel images that have been downsampled to 12.5 megapixel. It's also possible that these are 6.8 megapixel Quad Bayer (analog 4-1 binning) images that have been upscaled to 12.5 megapixel, but as the results seem to be mostly superior to the X100 Pro and less pixelated, I guess there is most of the time no analog binning at 230mm in good light conditions, just downsampling.

I think I know the reason why the charging speed is so slow on your unit.
On the settings app, enable Battery --> Battery health and charging --> show charging options on lock screen.
To enable the real 80W charging, you should choose the "Super fast" option on your lock screen. Otherwise, it is just as slow as the Galaxy S24 Ultra (well, until the last 30% at least).
