This device have to launch in India.
But what the hell Xiaomi India is doing ???
launching "notch-quad camera-SD636" Note 6 Pro.
Come on Xiaomi do better.
can anyone tell me Camera quality difference Redmi Note 6 Pro vs Mi 8 Lite.
also price difference between the two phones.
A small correction in last chapter. Mi A2 runs regular Android OS ( Android One ) and not Android Go version.
Oswald, 26 Nov 2018Could someone tell me which one is better between mi 8 lite and mi a2? In term of camera and ... moreBoth are good. But mi 8 is longer than mia2. & also front camera is 24 Mp. Both are good looking.. I suggest you mi 8.
Pros
-Solid build with glass back and aluminum side frames.
-Generally fine display with slightly above average brightness and excellent color reproduction in "Standard mode".
-Good all-round camera experience with small inconsistencies.
-Great performance with the Snapdragon 660 chipset.
-Loud speaker and good audio output quality.
-Plenty of features provided by Xiaomi's MIUI software, expect swift updates to the latest version.
-microsd slot (albeit hybrid) as STANDARD. FINALLY after 7 years since Mi 2 ditched it which we were angry about not having it as a CHOICE!!
Cons
-Ergonomics might be an issue for users with small hands.
-NO 3.5mm jack as STANDARD. Xiaomi, please include it as a CHOICE & put it back where it belongs.
-Battery life could be better.
-EIS in 4K video isn't good, Auto HDR mode needs improvement, portrait shots are largely inconsistent.
-NOTCH although less intrusive unlike Pixel 3 XL.
-ADs on MIUI. One of the ways is to unlock bootloader, install TWRP, then install Xiaomi.EU rom to get a faster, ad-free experience for the tech-savvy ones. For non tech-savvy ones, turn off recommendations.
-Slightly overpriced
There, e***or, fixed it for you :D

Why isnt the Realme 2 Pro listed as an alternative?
I don't know why LCD displays are limited upto 450/480 nits of brightness these days...
Atleast 550/600 nits of brightness required for indoor & outdoor visibility & for better gaming , browsing & Youtube experience
Im disappointed by two things inthis phone
1) Dim, Dull display
2) Slow charging speed by box charger
How can you call this "lite" when it is as huge as the OnePlus 6 or any other huge Android phone ? :)
In comparison with other phones because they did not put the Pocophone F1?
If it is to exchange the Mi 8 Lite for another that delivers more, it is better to pick up the Pocophone F1 instead of the Mi 8 Se and Nokia 7 Plus.
I think they could improve this 3.5 note as well.

One of a few phones I'm just being pondering whether to buy. While you aren't too excited about the photos - to me they are decent under the cloudy weather, and night photos look great for the price - may not too bright, but natural and very sharp.
Could someone tell me which one is better between mi 8 lite and mi a2? In term of camera and audio quality.
