Welcome to 2015, HTC, enjoy your stay.
AnonD-39937, 21 Feb 2017Why would you use the crappy Snapdragon 810 instead of a 653?! This is pure madness, HTC wants... moreThey are right on path to achieve that. From being the first Android OEMs to now 'also ran' and if they continue releasing products like then htc will become obsolete. Somewhere in my mind i think htc will be bought by Google completely in near future to achieve their interests in hardware business, and continue their Pixel line.
Whatever , 21 Feb 2017From the Desire HD to evo 10 HTC has the serious issues with battery.... get a life HTC'Maybe I will donate my used energizer batteries to HTC for it to recycle and put them into the phone batteries. What is the address of HTC (Hopping to cesspool)?
IMHO, I think HTC is going the way of Kodak film, walking into tech oblivion. Every HTC one is the same product for 8 times over.
Probably HTC don't care about the market.
AnonD-387177, 21 Feb 2017SD810 might have been fixed. So it will not get hot. If so, phone ergo chipset is still good.... moreGoddammit that's the same wording from Xperia fans supporting the 810

AnonD-387177, 21 Feb 2017SD810 might have been fixed. So it will not get hot. If so, phone ergo chipset is still good.... moreSo how come it is priced almost the same as current flagships?
Even the article said that there are cheaper phones using the latest chipsets.
Come on, guys... give HTC a break...
They already knew that when their phone flares up because of overheating, you can always submerge it in cool water.
*Evil Laugh
AnonD-39937, 21 Feb 2017Why would you use the crappy Snapdragon 810 instead of a 653?! This is pure madness, HTC wants... moreCouldn't agree more. It's as if they set themselves a profit margin and work their way from there. That explains why they have great discrepancies in each flagship. I give you this, but we have to take away this. Waterproof, old processor. New processor, no boom sound front facing speakers. If they put everything from the HTC 10 to their latest release into one phone, they would have a winner.
Agree with author:among all old chipset why SD810, expensive but no value to offer, while brand not in line with motorola, iphone, sony
Anonymous, 21 Feb 2017I don't think they even needed to lol...with phones similarly priced rocking an 820...this thi... moreIn 2016 OEMs were trying to avoid 810 like plague, and then there's HTC, still using it in 2017.
As usual, overpriced phone with poor battery life from HTC.
Hi GSMArena team, can someone confirm that the Evo uses the IMX298 sensor?
no wonder HTC is struggling.
they continue to spit this mediocre garbage.
i cant believe in 2017 still can see 7 hours battery life model. its reflect HTC really dont know what main issue consumer are facing. i guess HTC only can built phone but don't have time to play with their phone. that why they can happy with 7 hours web browsing phone.
"but it still feels like we're being charged the "HTC tax" even though the brand has lost most of its luster in recent years."
Couldn't agree more.
Lol HTC 10 is cheaper than HTC 10 evo (which is the lite version of 10) :)))))))))
Why would you use the crappy Snapdragon 810 instead of a 653?! This is pure madness, HTC wants bankruptcy.
Anonymous, 21 Feb 2017Look at the review...the 810 isn't fixed...they showed the "best" numbers that it managed befo... moreIt is just mind boggling, unless they had a stockpile of ordered 810s that they wanted to clear out...but why now? If they wanted budget QHD consistency...the 808 would have sufficed, with yes lower max results...but less heat and more consistent. I get that the 600s couldn't really power QHD (though the 652 says otherwise), but I would take FHD over utilizing the 810 anytime...especially with this terrible battery life...that would've saved that by a large margin as well.
