Back in the day, Samsung used to release "s" versions for some of its mid-rangers, with improved specs compared to the 'vanilla', non-"s" models. It hasn't done so in a while, but apparently it's now ready to get back into that game.
A Galaxy M55s might be coming soon, judging by the Wi-Fi Alliance certification of a Samsung smartphone with the model number SM-M558B.
For reference, the Galaxy M55's model number is SM-M556B. The higher number strongly implies this will be an "s" version, but unfortunately no other details are known about it yet - other than the fact that it will support dual-band Wi-Fi.
For reference, note that the Galaxy M55 comes with a 6.7-inch 1080x2400 Super AMOLED+ screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,000-nit peak brightness, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, 8/12GB of RAM, 128/256GB of expandable storage, a triple rear camera system (50 MP main with OIS, 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro), a 50 MP selfie camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.
If history does in fact repeat itself, then the M55s should be a little bit higher-end at least in one regard. What that will be, we'll let you know when we find out.
in my opinion the galaxy m55s will have exynos 1480 cause i don't think it will be that much of an upgrade, although it would be crazy if they used the snapdragon 7 gen 3, if they would do so i would honestly buy it
Add me to that list, I got an A8 Star with a rattling camera problem. In fact, the back glass just came off recently. The rattling camera was a well known problem but Samsung never fixed it since the A8 Star wasn't a mainstream-enough phone to d...
