LG is embarking on a new journey today as it plans to launch its Wing smartphone. The notable part is that it features a swiveling display which in turn makes room for a secondary screen and a unique T-shaped form factor. Today’s announcement will be the very first step of the Explorer Project - LG’s new line of smartphones with distinctive and yet unexplored designs.
The keynote tips off at 1PM KST time (2PM UTC) and you can watch it directly from the link below:
The Wing saw its fair share of leaks in the past month and based on the current rumors we’re expecting a curved 6.8-inch main display paired with a 4-inch secondary screen with a 1:1 aspect ratio. The phone will come with an enhanced UI to take advantage of the swiveling display.
We’re expecting a Snapdragon 765G chipset paired with 8GB RAM. Thre Wing is expected to carry a triple cam setup with a 64MP primary shooter. It’s rumored to retail in the $1,500 range but we’ll get all the details in a few hours so stay tuned.
after my recent encounter with the LG G8X ThinQ, I am excited for what LG is about to launch now. The LG Wing sounds cool
LG has been delivering some really neat phones in terms of display. This looks so cool and unique. I hope its equally practical as well.
