My last experience with foldable screen phone was the Z Fold2, and it was the least reliable phone I've ever owned. Six months after the warranty ended, I see the inner screen started to peel out and the liquid inside the screen has melted. It cost so much to fix the inner screen, so I sold it as a near-scrap only useful using the outer screen and as a DeX machine.
there will be the tab s10 mini

justasmile, 03 Jul 2024Well you got the Exynos 1480.Which has less performance and efficiency compared to any chipsets that used on tablets on that pricing, including Apple.

YUKI93, 02 Jul 2024iPad mini 6 isn't exactly outdated since it's still using the same Bionic A15 SoC as... morePerformance aside, it's already an old device because it's launched in 2021. And it already needs a successor. And because this is Apple, bet they'll just give 6GB RAM for the upcoming iPad Mini.
Don't get me wrong, but since sideloading is coming to iPadOS, I will still choose it over Legion Y700 lol. Probably because iPad Mini is "officially" available in my country, while Legion Y700 doesn't lol.
justasmile, 02 Jul 2024Insane? You mean at how good it is?Chipset wise, With that pricing I could've expect some better chipset than Exynos 1380. Chinese brands aside, Even a cheaper iPad 10th Gen is a better choice (storage aside).
I used to have the 12.4" Tab S7 before I sold it because it was too big for my liking. I later replaced it with the vanilla 11" version and am very happy with it. I can miss not having an OLED screen as long as the screen is good enough for everyday use, which it is.
Casio, 01 Jul 2024Is there any sane person who buys tablet from Samsung?r/SamsungDeX says hello.

But yeah, it desperately needs a new version with 8GB RAM. Nevertheless, I still find it ironic that Samsung won't make a direct rival to the iPad mini because of the Z Fold. It's not impossible to see more people going for a Tab S mini instead of a Z Fold.

That should guarantee long software updates, especially with Google extending software support to 10 years after device release. It means the Google Pixel Slate will keep getting official support until 2027. Even Lenovo Chromebook Duet 3/5 receive official support until 2031.

Faster to get an update? Probably. Longer? Nope. They prioritize their phones more over their tablets.
