Can't decide whether to wait for Open 2 or pull the trigger on X Fold3 Pro. Let's hope we get more leaks about Open 2's development.
As a OnePlus Open owner, the only things the latest version needs is wireless charging and waterproofing. I generally don't care about wireless charging but it's really nice to have in the car. And regarding waterproofing, it's again a 'nice to have' but makes the phone last longer if/when an accident happens.
OnePlus, don't change the screen size or phone shape, the weight (one the vegan leather back) is actually perfect! The cameras are good, but weaker in low light. But please DO bring out more cases, because the cases for this phone are crap, offer very very little front protection and are free m generally speaking very limited.
Anonymous, 24 May 2024I'm hoping for an upgraded price. This one's insane!Hoping, or expecting?
If I were to get a book-style foldable, it would be the OnePlus Open. It’s too bad they cost an arm and a leg.
I am super excited for the open 2. I was really looking forward for it to come this year and buy for sure. But I hope this wait till 2025 will be rewarding enough by Oneplus for the fans. Making it thinner would be even cooler designwise but they should also consider things like better ipx rating, wireless charging, and reduce the camera bump some how.
And one more thing oneplus should be thinking about is better accessories like cases options for such a foldable etc.
I hope it releases soon and is even bigger banger in the foldable market than it's predecessor. Waiting anxiously #oneplusopen2
Love the OnePlus OS and the way they support their OS upgrade length that make worthwhile invest into the hardware.
The first Open I was seriously considering upgrading to, might keep my OP11 until Open 3 releases. Very interesting device.
*sigh
So in Q1 2025, social media and YouTube will be filled with paid OPPO shills and influencers praising as if this is the best thing since sliced bread. And a month after that nobody will buy nor care about this overpriced thing.
This is also probably why Samsung is prepping the Fold 6 slim in Q1 2025 alongside the S25 series. If Samsung undercut the OnePlus in price, they can get some good sales.
Oxygen OS is the best Android interface currently.
Not a lot of feature creep like Samsung.
Not too barebones like stock Android.
Good polish like well-designed ringtones, the easiest floating window management, high frequency pwm so there isn't eyestrain, and nice icons.
I'll probably get this if it's got a 1TB option.
make the inner screen durable.
PepperPot, 24 May 2024So you're calling people trolls because you have a unrealistic expectation for the price ... moreIt's fine... You are gonna have what you are asking for.
It's cheaper than iphone+ipad. Plus you don't have to carry both. Just carry 100w charger.

other phones - cheaper
we're not talking about yachts, here, ok?
these price... moreSo you're calling people trolls because you have a unrealistic expectation for the price of foldables? Wow! Nobody is forcing foldables on you and they are not replacing slabs anytime soon, if ever, so stop making it seem like you don't have a choice.
If you believe they are too expensive, don't buy one. Again, who is holding a gun to your head?
It's a Vivo foldable with a OnePlus sticker
So I’m guessing it’s going to launch alongside the Oneplus 13 then. I also wonder how they’ll improve the design.
Anonymous, 24 May 2024What price do you expect for a high end foldable, exactly?850 euros

these prices, for any phone, are too high, don't make any sense considering where the wages are
I was expecting trolls...
