I might have some insight about the OEM and pricing.
Based on the currently announced specs and other similarities (including SIM card location and speaker/microphone hole shape/placement), I'm fairly certain the MIAD01 is a rebranded/modified Lava Blaze Curve, which is on sale in India for ~215–230 USD depending on the storage configuration. Non-sale price is slightly over 250 USD.
If I'm right, the MIAD01 probably won't be super expensive; I'd guess around $400 (hoping for lower, but I don't want to be too optimistic).
Moondrop's mascot is so cute!

Is Koobee manufacturing this one because the status bar looks a bit like the one on Dido OS (as seen on Lava, Blu, MPTech phones)
I really hope Moondrop doesn't overdo the software and simply puts stock Android on. Because Moondrop themselves are terrible at building software.

zaryan, 24 Apr 2024these spec are actually good enough for an audio phoneBut just average for a smartphone user looking to use this as their daily driver. Though I'm sure the ones buying this already have very low expectations for their phones.
Curved screen in 2024?! Oh no, that's awful, it ruined it all

Moondrop announced more specs on their twitter:
- Mediatek Dimensity 7050 8-core processor
- 12G LPDDR4x RAM
- 256G UFS3.1 flash storage
- Storage Expansion Card: up to 2TB capacity
Now we're really just waiting on pricing and availability.
I'm definitely interested with the concept.
As i remember, beside moondrop there is only one phone that has 2 jack, which is marshall phone. But, unlike moondrop, marshall has two 3.5mm jacks.
The design is so simple. Hopefully it will packed with atleast dimensity 8200 or snapdragon 7+ gen 2.
ArthurGD3, 24 Apr 2024Really attractive design. Now all we need to know is price and availability details.Price will be on par with iPhone and Samsung phone 😎
Lol 🤣🤣 another big ass brick display phone 🙄🤦🏻♂️
I was hoping for a non-rounded display, but it seems to have the disadvantages of both rounded display and a squared off body, worst of both worlds.
I prefer flat but curve is not a deal breaker.. it just pain in the a-$ to install screen protector.
The only deal breaker is the price .. if they price it in midrange below $700, then it is an instant buy.. ngl, I kinda excited for this especially after being a fan of moondrop for the past couple of years.
Plus, the current players in mobile market right now is more focus on camera even though they only achieved a small improvement for the past years.. the holes leave by LG, HTC One/U series and ZTE Axon 7 need to be fill.

I wonder if this will run a modified AOSP or a proprietary skin. I also wonder what are Moondrop's terms for unlocking the bootloader 🤔
Anonymous, 24 Apr 2024Maybe you're not familiar with modern audio equipment. TOTL DAPs are larger and heavier ... moreYeah but those DAPs are targeted at home use and to also be used as DAC/Amp on the desktop. A mobile phone should be lighter and thinner than TOTL DAPs otherwise it defeats the purpose
Phone visually reminds me of the nio phone. I hope they have a proper phone company behind them to support them
