Blade, 16 Feb 2024How do you think that ANC works ? ANC has a magic power that makes noise disappear? Or it does... moreThe system is based on microphones that “listen” to the sounds outside and inside of the earphone, an ANC chipset inverting the soundwaves and a speaker inside the earphone cancelling the outside sound by the neutralising soundwaves. A bit like taking +2 outside and adding -2 inside to make zero.
Megahed HUAWEI, 18 Feb 2024no creativity at all they are copying same huawei concept wich is just released Huawei freeclipI sense sentimental judgement there, Bose will always boss a Huawei when it's about audio you know that....

Bose Copying Huawei FreeClip.
I would get these over every other ones that use an uncomfortable silicone tip (still using the classic £19 Apple Earpods)
Loki, 16 Feb 2024Basically, The earphones have in built microphones which works as a device to deceive our ears... moreActually ANC is not "tricking" our ears to make sound seem quieter. When working properly the speaker plays a copy of the sound received by the mics (added to the music etc), but phase shifted. This waveform physically interferes with the incoming sound and physically removes it. Of course the system isn't perfect, so it doesn't completely eliminate all noise, but the sound energy is removed. It's not tricking our ears.
nice but not at those ridiculous price points

Blade, 16 Feb 2024How do you think that ANC works ? ANC has a magic power that makes noise disappear? Or it does... moreBasically, The earphones have in built microphones which works as a device to deceive our ears. When the noise cancellation gets Activated, it only inverts the phase of the frequency waves that reaching our ears and what happens when you invert the phase of one frequency crashing into the other? They cancel out each other, therefore it deceives our ears and the brain in a way that the sound is being cancelled out and this, we can't completely hear what's going around us but somewhat maybe. So yeah, that's how it tricks our ears into making us thing that the sound that's around us is cancelled out and there you have it, that's how the Noise cancellation works!

So designed so you can hear your surroundings but at the same time has an immersive mode? One is a contradiction of the other. And what’s the Ultra part? The price ?

As usual a bunch of techie sounding mumbo jumbo to justify Bose charging an arm and a leg for a simple pair of bone conducting earphones .

ANC has a magic power that makes noise disappear? Or it does send to your ears flat sounds that makes the external noise not perceivable? In which case, it would mean that even if you don t perceive it, ANC make sound louder to cover the external noise, no ?
Don't know about earbuds. But my car has Bose sound system and it is great.
