The anti-Samsung bandwagoning is insane in here. The sensor size war is the new megapixel war
samsung is cheaping out, 50mp now exynos returning, no 8gb ram. who even buys samsung anymore besides the name itself
Samsung should've put the 108MP sensor into the base and plus s23 phones, since the ultra got the 200MP upgrade, but here we are potentially stuck with the same sensor until a replacement with the s26, whils Chinese manufacturers continue to improve on camera hardware and software in their respective S series competitors
Isocell is cheaper than exmor.
By using isocell mostly (or entirely), money stays at Samsung (through Sammy Semicon).
Considering S + Z combine for 30-32 million units, I suppose, do math of how much Samsung save by not using exmor.
Same reason motorola and few chinese are using so many omnivision cmos.
They're turning into apple more and more. They seem to forget people like them for their revolutionary choice of hardware combined with optimization. no other phone has a balance of optimization and high grade hardware all around its changing a lot now
I'm sorry... everyone... It's reported that Samsung may use the GN3 in the S25/25+.

On 3 Dec Revegnus @Tech_Reve reported this
Great news: The S25 and S25+ will no longer use the dreadful GN3 sensor; instead, they will feature Sony’s image sensor. I’m very happy! twitter.com/Tech_Reve/stat…
Did Samsung in 16 days change their mind or what?
Nope! No contact for the 1st tweet, so he thought I'd better retreat from the fiction I posted
you will notice the ABSENCE of any source for both
Alright, post processing here or there..using a many year old sensor in their flagship line just ain't it anymore
They didn't upgrade the camera with its tiny sensor, especially the telephoto and ultrawide so they could use the same design.
