Bring back metal phones like the OP3 and HTC One M8. At least there was only one side that could crack, and they were smaller, meaning they were already less likely to crack.

In future Victus 2000 year 3034 drop resistance up to 20% since last version. Jerry's grand, grand ×20 grandson making a review of a phone. Scratches at lvl 6 with deeper grooves at lvl 7. Hilarious.
But still can you shit on the phone on cement without breaking it?
Vikass17, 30 Nov 2022Can someone tell me in short , how much they improved from victus?Little to nothing...Victus glass ain't pretty good....I had it on my smartphone and it scratched easily

My wife has it on her Pixel 7 Pro and you cannot tell it even has one at all. Her Fingerprint Reader works flawlessly with it too.
Victus is probably the worst screen glass I've had on a device. It has 0 scratch resistance, sitting on a table WILL scratch the back or screen. CG is probably the worst protective glass manufacturer there is on phones (or they just focus on apple now).
I "love" how "drop resistance" only lately is being -seriously- worked upon. 15 years into the smartphone revolution and they barely thought "you know, drop damage is quite the b1tch to our customers". Nope it was all "planned obsolescence sound good to us , let us pretend that we work in scratch resistance for 15 years in a row, instead, despite practically solving it in the first 2-3 years of our existence"...
What's not to love in being predated by multi nationals? Lol
Rotciv Ikias, 30 Nov 2022If it was so easy it could have been done The difficulty isn't the main issue. It's more expensive, easier to break, and much heavier.

Bigmeme, 30 Nov 2022We need sapphire screens not these gimmicky glassesIf it was so easy it could have been done
Bigmeme, 30 Nov 2022We need sapphire screens not these gimmicky glassesNo. Sapphire is much easier to break, and it's much heavier. Sapphire makes sense for watches because people rarely drop watches. How many times in your life you have seen people accidentally drop their watches? On the other hand, people accidentally drop phones all the time.
what they want to archive is when the glass break, amoled/lcd inside also broken..
unlike older version gg you can change only glass if its break with lower price at repair shop
fk this anti repair practice

Well written article, Corning
I think no matter how good (the best, probably) one CG have made, we still apply the screen protector over that glass. So....
Last phone that I enjoyed the screen on was my iphone 5s, now I i have the S21 Ultra, the oleophobic coating is worn and due to curved screen I can't get a decent TGSP on here to stay, even White Stone Dome Glass has peeled off. The iphone 5s had a slight bezel lip around the screen, maybe 1mm tall, but it was so easy to get a TGSP on it, it stayed put. And when that Oleophobic coating wore off I could replace it. Didn't care and don't care for Corning glass, it's bad, I would rather a plastic screen and be able to use TGSP like I used to.
Bigmeme, 30 Nov 2022We need sapphire screens not these gimmicky glasseswhy not diamond screens? 💰💸
I have the Victus on my S21+ and although it's VERY resistant against big drops, it gets scratched from bs stuff like my keys or random coins. How about solve that first instead of big drops that happen rarely
