But, you tube shorts (videos) and insta reel videos are not controlled (play/pause) using these ear buds. Am i missing anything to add / setup?

I have a few different KZ IEMs and they have never disappointed. It's all subjective I guess, but in my opinion if I was choosing between some budget TWS I think I'd rather have sloppy bass than a flat sound. Cheers.

This is why the Harman target exists and used by many professional reviewers. While bass boost in itself is not bad, it's about how it's implemented and how it affects the rest of the sound. Overly boosted mid-bass tends to drown out the vocals and overwhelm the rest of the frequency spectrum. All good things need to be in moderation. Most manufacturers don't seem to get the balance right and lower end products often just have a truckload of bloated bass with very little thought put into the tuning. This just sounds bad and will never get a recommendation from me. If you want to read some reviews of earbuds and IEMs that have a boosted bass but sound good, check out the reviews for the Lypertek Tevi or the KZ ZEX Pro. That's how you do bass boost correctly.
Soundcore is better

I no longer use Xiaomi buds after some bad experiences.
But I did try those I recommended, and it made people who tried both Xiaomi and honor (ironically, since you specified those two) switch.
The TaoTronics ones especially are a hidden gem. Long battery, great sound, super comfortable with an above average mic and biold quiality for SO CHEAP when on sale.
Give them a try :3 and thanks for advising me too.
Darknoor, 05 Jun 2022Taotronics SoundLiberty 97 SoundPeats TrueShift 2 And thank me laterMy recommendation for TWS is the Redmi Airdots 3 (for sound quality) and the Honor Earbuds 2 Lite (for affordable ANC with transparency). Otherwise wired headphones kill TWS pretty consistently; both over ear and IEMs.
Everytime I read these reviews I get the feeling that the people at GSMarena don't like bass and don't listen to any bass heavy music. Monitor tuned headphones have a purpose, but the average person just wants to hear their music with a good experience. I don't plan on doing any mixdowns on my smart phone on the go so I would prefer to just have the bass.
you have to suffer, 05 Jun 2022airpods or thisNone of them. Buy Sony or Bose or Sennheiser or JBL or Jabra.
I was an early adopter of OP buds and I'm sorry for it. weak no ANC with every android update there is some sort of problem. short batt life. muddy sound, and if you sit down quick with the battery case in your front pocket...WATCH OUT!!!
you have to suffer, 05 Jun 2022"wired audiophile one" well how about the additional money for the amp??You don't need an amplifier for an iem. If someone tells you do, they're full of shit. Check out crinacle's video on this topic
you have to suffer, 05 Jun 2022"wired audiophile one" well how about the additional money for the amp??Or just get the Blon BL-03's and use a phone with a decent internal DAC and call it a day. You don't need tons of milliamps for iems, learning how to proper use a parametric EQ and eliminate individual earcanal resonances gets you way further.
you have to suffer, 05 Jun 2022"wired audiophile one" well how about the additional money for the amp??You're actually right but if you have the 'right' phone you won't need an amp. Something like the V-series from LG, or Sony and Asus.

well how about the additional money for the amp??Wired iem headphone $150
Amp $100
Neutron Player $5
...and you're good to go.
There are decent ones who don't have to cost a living.
AnonF-1006353, 05 Jun 2022Airpods suck, for that price you can get the sony xm4's with LDAC or some wired audiophile ones"wired audiophile one"
well how about the additional money for the amp??
