Yeah, a really, really long video on youtube then, you'll be dead by the adds before a burn start to appear. Also who use it's screen at max brightness all the time?

It is possible, obviously. It's just that the tech has gotten better and you are less likely to experience it. "We just need to be careful, that's all." I would say not being an idjit with your OLED, whether it's a phone or a TV - should be good enough, but yeah.

I was watching a movie with VLC, fell asleep, when I woke up, the brightness was at 100% (must have triggered it by mistake) , the video was paused and it had the subtitle on. With a white background, I can see the subtitle burnin (they look like some pinkish lines)
Maybe it's not so easy to get them with newer tech, but it's still possible if you are using the brightness to 100% for long periods of time.
But I still love AMOLED and still support it. We just need to be careful, that's all.
notafanboy, 29 Dec 2021What's the likelihood of getting burn in on your smartphone these days, brainy?Burn in chances are just as high as they always were lol.
Just because you don't notice it, doesn't mean its not there.
Go YouTube full screen and watch a white screen video.
You will see.

Jus... moreBrainy, OLED panels have gotten better and therefore you are less likely to experience burn in. I've owned many OLED phones and only got burn in on one of them, which happened to be the very first Samsung Galaxy S phone. You know when it released? Over a decade ago. And if you are so afraid of the "burn in" boogeyman that's a YOU problem. Get it ?

I'd definitely recommend it to those who don't care about brand loyalty. Funny enough i actually prefer the LCD screen just because it can't get burn in like OLED
I have a s21 fe here to play with.
not nice i own a s20fe and am overly impressed with that after a year of ownership the UI is the most annoying thing and obliterates your battery.
first thoughts of the s21 fe, boy is it girly in lilac grey its ugly, even putting it side by side the s20fe they look cheap at there rear bloody hell the moto edge 20 has a better feel than this s21 fe
camer is on par with the older fe and runs the same so guessing the battery will last less than a day if not less.
but it does get warm to the touch after leaving demo running for an hour or so
