Proofs? And even if it is so, a lot of people play with their friends or some occasional folks around the Internet in multiplayer titles like Valheim or Deep Rock Galactic, which are also require low latency. I really don't believe that cloud gaming will outshine the local one.
Anonymous, 16 Jul 2021Have you ever heard of input lag? There is no input lag
[deleted post]Competitive gamers are by far a minority in the gaming world. Maybe they will be the only ones to stick to local gaming while everyone else moves to the cloud.
[deleted post]Casual gamers outnumber competitive gamers, so it's too early to say that there is no future to streaming games.

Yes please but do make it playable on the PS3/Xbox360 where it can stream 1080p/60fps with no issue of like your movies. This will mean 98% of games until the PS4 era should be available for stream able without purchasing the PS4. YAY!
top executives from EA!???

If your average gaming farm is over 100 Ms (in latency) away from you then say bye bye to streamed gaming. Netflix is one way, you just watch. Games are interactive and once the delay (latency) because even a tiny bit insufferable the games stops being playable.
Why play full price for a worse experience? Just buy the same game + console and you have the best experience possible.
This would only work in a world where every possible game servers is a few MS away from you, i.e. in non physical location, i.e. flying above starlink style. Anything else will never work, it's just not practical to feel the world with gaming servers...
did you say EA?
Just another of these streaming game services that most of the world will never see for what ever reasons they have them limited to only in few countries
Cunning advertising, only for subscribers, dare!
Netflix is already overpriced compared to competition(disney plus&amazon) and now they will increase their prices even more.
It is also sad that those pandemic quality decrease has been new default in netflix, bitrate is so bad nowdays.
Don't expect quality games! But do expect games being cancelled after a short time.
