cruizer, 30 Mar 2021BaloneyOS...the one that claimed to be microkernel and much faster than Android but was reveal... moreYeah, that whole article didn't paint a very positive picture of huawei.
i0S.-.Never.-.Again, 31 Mar 2021Huawei is done!!! Nothing much left to get excited about. Yeah, in the smartphone business if they can't reach a deal with the US they have no options. They even recently ran out of chargers in their official stores in China as they contain American components so it is difficult to secure the necessary components.for these. Still, they are a huge brand with many business lines and if their other businesses and new business ventures can help them survive they may still be able to make a comeback in the future. They are by far the most popular android brand in China so there is a huge opportunity this year for the other Chinese brands to grow massively within China due to the severe shortage of Huawei phones.
Harmony OS may still able to sideload GMS. :)

Huawei P50 is gonna be my next phone if it really ships with HarmonyOS instead of Android.
Doubtful people will care about it. Not so much for next Android 12, let alone this one. I always have my doubts that Huawei will create another ecosystem to compete with Android last year when almost everyone is "excited" about what Huawei will bring to the table. And Ars Technica had proved it - it would likely just another skin on top of Android, whatever they call it, it's still an Android.
BaloneyOS...the one that claimed to be microkernel and much faster than Android but was revealed to be based on AOSP? haha
MATE 30 PRO, 30 Mar 2021I have managed to install Google Services on my Mate 30 Pro, and what I am not going to do is ... moreThat really is a big problem because people like you might done a bit of work to get that GMS but there is no word if they will delete the GMS during update
I have managed to install Google Services on my Mate 30 Pro, and what I am not going to do is update to Harmony OS if I am going to lose them.
On the other hand, what will happen to the P30 Pro users who have Google Services officially working, and who will receive the update to Harmony OS? Are they going to lose those services?
US former president and Apple president lobbying, really complicated "Hawaii's" life...
Well with Google support out of the picture and therefore no cross-integration with my other devices - huawei is pretty much out of the picture for me.
