These are presale figures. Iphone always starts it in the US, and a few large markets. samsung has the same policy all around the world. TBH, I can't wait to get my hands on the SG3. It looks amazing.
I love how this article tries to claim that the S3 has nowhere near the presale numbers as the 4S when in fact it has almost triple. The S3 blows away the 4s in preorder numbers.
I Love the 2 but I cant wait to upgrade to the 3

Owesome smartphone is in the making....the successor of Galaxy S2 empowering the Samsung to conquer the planet.

Wow! That's a lot of pre-orders for such a huge phone!
I feel a lot of ppl will get disappointed when they receive it.
Hey manufacturers, news flash!!!
This is not 1992! We don't need gigantic phones!
It's actually 20 years into the future and we now need phones that fit in your arm comfortably and you can control them with ONE thumb.
(I write with only one thumb on my SGS1 and my perfect display size would be 3.8".)
It's great
Thats awsume mate so how much will be sent over to Fiji and wen?
ace, 20 May 2012Wow that is amazing 9 million? now that is what you call a smartphone how much will it be in S... more9 million is the pre-order figure, not the price... expect a boom on manufacturing section before the actual lunching
Tech lover, 20 May 2012I don't know why, but I don't like the all new Samsung galaxy S3 I feel that the design is ... moreThat's probably because it IS made from plastic that it feels that way.Make it from metal and you get the infamous iPhone death grip problem.Unless you've actually picked this particular device up with your own hands, maybe it's not right to judge it like this?
Wow that is amazing 9 million? now that is what you call a smartphone how much will it be in S.AFRICA?

I was choosing between it & the 8500Wave - a 'proper' metal phone with a good solid feel. But in my pocket the Wave felt like it weighed a ton, and in a suit jacket pocket it felt much worse. For this and other reasons I got the S1 instead.
Being so light made it really comfortable to use. And after having dropped it a couple of times the lightness pays off big time - virtually no damage!
I got the SGS2 now and luv that it's both thinner & lighter than S1. I'm actually really disappointed that the S3 is both thicker and heavier.
I hate the plasticky feel as well though. Don't see why Sammy couldn't use better materials like kevlar or a super-light metal alloy.
But once you go light there's no going back.
This is the best phone in the market of today.and best anoroid phone ever!
I don't know why, but I don't like the all new
Samsung galaxy S3 I feel that the design is
like it's made of plastic and that it's very light
and I don't like very light phones cause they're like
toys.
