AnonD-454049, 07 Apr 2019You don't know what relevant meansI think my understanding of relevant is slightly different to you, sorry.
Mediatek chipset is hardly relevant in premium and popular mid-range phones, but there are many budget and cheap phones using them (Helio X30, for example). Though not as famous as Qualcomm chipsets, Mediatek ones are from a large semi-conductor company TSMC in Taiwan, which is the world's largest dedicated semiconductor foundry (i.e. they mainly produce semiconductor wafer for other companies without specific factory).
I am not supporting them, but I feel they are still a participant in the market.

AnonD-454049, 05 Apr 2019Continue using? Mediatek was never relevant in the first place. Some cheaper brands have been using Mediatek SoC for many years. I will not buy devices using them as they felt laggy, but it is true that they really existed.

Helbram, 04 Apr 2019Lol this Helio P22 is not on the same level as the SD660/675.Yeah, Helio P22 is more comparable to SD625/SD450 than sd660/+
Apart from the reason of cutting costs, I can hardly find any reason for companies continue using Mediatek SoC. No matter how they promote, their chipsets are really inferior IMO.
Completely looks like the Huawei P Smart + (Plus) 2019 from the back.
Well this looks like a first cell phone ever made with 128GB disk space on board and pricetag under 200 bucks.
Thiis sounds more than interesting.
Enjoy Helio P22.
