i am not so sure why people are complaining about spotify's pricing when it already is cheap. i mean, at least you can stream/download music legally for a fraction of a cost of actually purchasing it. you don't own the music, i know, but it is there for you to listen to.

Their desktop client is ported to Linux (and it seems to work fine), but it's not supported officially so if you run into trouble, you're on your own.
