Just got this phone three days ago since I needed a dual-SIM phone. It is by far the best phone I have used, period. Only the design, which is phenomenal when it comes to looks, could be more practical in my opinion. Meaning that this is too much similar to Samsung premium models and the iPhone. Looks great but not the best ergonomics and a bit slippery. I'd say one needs to have a case or cover on it, after which it is okay.
Honor 6 with a bit more straightforward edges was better to hold in hand. Otherwise this is pure dynamite!!!

the baddest thing about Huawei is updating>> I have a P7 for more than one year and never get any update...haaaaaaaaaaahhaaa do you believe that!!!
Their hardware looks premium , but how are their updates and support going ?
There was a time when Samsung was an no name manufacturer.

Two pictures are very clear with regard to the Laser auto focus and IR for remote, I think many things have not been mentioned in this hands on.
There's better choice for $400 smartphone, and shouldn't pay more than $200 for this phone due to no name CPU and untruthful maker.
Hi, I am really looking forward to buy this phone.Since this phone does not have corning gorilla glass and also no OIS(Optical Image Stabilization) in camera, is it good to prefer and buy over One Plus 3?? Any help is appreciated!!
SDKforLumia , 18 Aug 2016In P9, Huawei very cleverly set fine antennas (dual antennas, perhaps the best among flagships... moreIIRC, the lack of visible antenna lines is due to the glass back on the honor 8. On the p9 and every other metal phone, the metal back screws with signal strength, so the antennas are put on top of the back to retain good reception. However, glass does not have the same issue, so the antennas are left inside the device.
As the Honor 8 and p9 share pretty much all of the same specs, I would guess that the antennas, and thus signal strength, will be more or less equal (of course, I don't own either device, so I can't say for certain).
farciarz, 18 Aug 2016It is disappointing that all flagships except OnePlus 3 are single-sim in Europe & USA.

A strong network lobby here.... they want to lock you and keep as close as possible. Anyway I think I will order directly from China to get dual-sim version if things go as they go....
I'd pay full price just for the looks lol
Will the dual-sim version be available in the USA? I thought Europe + USA will get a single sim version....
Ok, I am confused about the hybrid tray... since it is not listed in the official website I e-mailed Honor for a clarification and this is the answer I received: "The USA version Honor 8 has 1 slot and it holds a Nano Sim and micro SD card. This is different configuration of the international device. Hope this answers for you. Thanks. rw" Is it possible for a moderator someone to clarify? Tks
photos don't do its justice? i am looking forward to get my hand on it
